Riku landed the Gummi Ship, and turned over his shoulder. "Mickey, Jiminy--" He sighed. "Right." This world was completely empty, void of any life other than Heartless. He defeated them, and left. One abandoned world after the other, he grew increasingly frustrated. "I can't TAKE IT ANYMORE!" He screamed when he came upon a particularly lonely place. There were towers, that, upon closer inspection, were made from blocks of trash. "This is..."
He squinted, seeing someone in the distance, and ran, but then stopped. It was only a robot, with rusted yellow metal, two triangular wheels, and a pair of binocular-like eyes that tilted downward in opposite directions that made him look sad. "Oh. Figures. Well, it's worth a shot. What's your name?" A minute passed, and he turned to leave, but then heard a voice. "Wall-E." "Huh?!" He whirled. "D-did you just-- did you just... talk to me!?" "Wall-E." Riku fell back, overwhelmed with relief at hearing another voice.
Wall-E cocked his head. "Sorry. I... haven't had anyone to talk to for a while. I'm Riku." The robot extended his hand, and Riku shook it, shaking the dirt off his hand and standing up. Wall-E walked up to a pile of trashed, opened up the flap on his stomach, and pulled the trash in, closing the flap. Then he seemed to tense up, and it came back out as a cube. The robot lifted his arms in the air. "Tadaaaa." He looked over Riku's shoulder, and let out a startled cry, spinning in a circle for a moment.
Wall-E dragged Riku away from the incoming dust storm, to a garage of sorts and desperately tried to get the door to close faster. When it did, everything was dark, until the lights flipped on to reveal a cozy room filled with all sorts of objects. Riku strolled through, looking at all the things the robot had collected, and stopped at a small sapling, growing in a boot filled with dirt. "Other than him, the plant... is the only light in this dark world." He sat down, leaning against the wall.
Riku opened his eyes, not really sure where he was for a moment. "Did I fall asleep?" He walked outside, where Wall-E seemed to be recharging himself with the sun. The boy squinted, and spent the morning with his new companion, and the ground shook suddenly. Wall-E panicked, and buried himself in the dirt, placing a rock on top his head, while Riku summoned his Keyblade. When the dust settled, the pair peeked around the ship that had landed. A gleaming white robot, with deep blue eyes and black around her face, hovered, and scanned things. Wall-E let out a dreamy sigh. "I know the feeling."
As the timid robot approached and gazed at her in awe, Riku decided not to intrude, and left.
