Chapter-13: Welcome To The Ghosts

I thought about every single word that he had said to me. All of this, just to get to me. But wait second.

"What about my mother, and Brianna?" I asked.

"He killed them because he knew that they had known what you were he didn't want them to tell you the truth, instead only until he had you under his control would he then tell you the truth." He said.

"Of course, that's why she said that to me the night he kidnapped me." I concluded.

"What did she tell you?" He asked

"We had a fight, I said I that I wish I could take back. She told me that ' one day I would see what she was trying to warn me about'. She left me there and she was my only way home. Then Rorke came, and captured me." I replied.

He nodded his head. I thought about everything. A secret that's kept from me since the day I was born. I felt as though all of it still didn't make any sense to me. But do understand one thing. That Rorke wasn't going to win. Ever, after everything thing that he's done to me. I am going to kill him.

"So how about it?"

My thought were interrupted when my eyes caught on Elias.

"What?" I questioned.

"You can join us if you would like." He answered.

I thought about it for second. Could I actually become a Ghost.

"I don't have any combat training." I said.

"Ill train you myself, Violet." He replied.

I gave one more thought about it.

"What do you have to lose, Violet?" I asked myself in my mind.

"Okay, when do I start?" I questioned.

"Well you have to give yourself time to heal. After then I'll train you. He finished.

Suddenly I felt something dripping on my arm. I looked down to see blood coming from my stomach bandages that also wrapped around my side.

"Ouch." I swore under my breath as I felt a pain shoot through me.

"Ill go and get Hesh, with the extra bandages to help you." He said as he got up to leave with the rest of the Ghosts.

"He's okay?" I exclaimed with a smile.

"Yeah, he's fine, he got better while you were out but he's still taking it easy, he was actually more concerned about you then his own health." He looked at me with a smile.

I returned the smile along with a slight blush.

"Can't say I felt same as well." I grinned.

"Well give me a second to go and get him. Just rest for minute." He responded.

"Thank you Elias, for everything that you have done for me." I added before he walked out with the others.

"Your mother and father would very proud of you." He replied as he closed the door behind him.

I carefully laid down in my bed, rethinking everything. So I'm a Conduit, and I have multiple powers unlike others like me. My father and uncle were both Conduits. Rorke tried to get to me but my father took away his power. Rorke was angry at my dad for it. They didn't talk for years until that in Caracas, on that assassination mission that the Ghosts went on but Elias sacrifice Rorke to save the other Ghosts. That's also the reason that Rorke killed my dad. For revenge at my dad for one keeping me away from him. Two he took away his power. Three for being their in Caracas as a Ghost that didn't help him. He killed my mother and Brie, just because he didn't want them to tell me the truth. And now he's after me to capture me and kill the Ghosts. Well its not gonna happen.

My thoughts were then interrupted by a knock at my door.

"It's open." I shouted.

Hesh walked in with a first aid kit.

"How have you been?" He asked as he walked over towards me.

"Not so great after finding about all of this, but I'm alive aren't I." I replied with a smile.

"Yeah, but you could've died because of me." He replied.

"No, I'm alive because of you." I replied.

"But I shot you in the stomach, and to me that looks like I almost tried to kill y-

His words were cut off as I reached close to him and embraced with joyful kiss.

When I pulled away he looked as much confused that I did.

"You know I meant it when I said I liked. I'm not like other girls, literally but I don't really keep secrets like that. It would be a waste of time if I liked a guy and he didn't really like me, in fact it would just be a waste of time." I explained.

"Anyways, I want to thank you for saving my life, I owe you." I added

He gave me a long look, but the it suddenly turned into a smile.

"Actually, we're even because you threw lighting at them and saved us both so we're even." He replied.

"So um a Conduit." I added

"Yeah I know."He responded as digged through the first aid kit.

"You knew, wow did everyone the world before did?" I questioned.

"No, I just found a couple of days ago while you were out." He explained.

"Oh, well did Elias tell you?" I asked.

"Tell me what?" He responded.

"I'm the newest member of the team." I answered in excitement.

"Really, congratulations it's good to have you aboard the team." He replied with a smile.

"Thanks, I start my training later after I heal up." I said.

"Sounds good Violet, I'll be sure to check on you." He insisted with a grin.

"Can't wait to make my dad, mom, and Brie proud of me, and take Rorke down." I added.

"Exellent, Welcome to the Ghosts, well take Rorke down together, as soon as we take care of your injuries. Then will talk business." He said.

"Sounds good." I replied as I reached over to him a kiss on his cheek.

"We have confirmation that she's alive an with the Ghosts, our satellite captured photos of them escaping the base. Shall we alarm the troops?" A Hispanic man asked over Web chat video.

"No, we wait for an opening, let them come us. An oppritunity is bound to come and I want security stationed their, on Federation day. And don't screw this up, you of many are few enough that I would be able to call 'friend' so don't mess up, she is priority one capture for me.

"I will not fail you, Rorke." The Hispanic man added, before he signed off.

"Ready for my a rival in Caracas for Federation day, and triple the security." He commanded one of his soldiers.

"I will not fail this opportunity to capture her, The greatest Conduit who has ever lived.
