"Your father, wanted you to be protected from Rorke, ever since the day you turned four, the day after that photo of you and your mom and dad was taken." He replied.

"What do you mean? Are you talking about the picture you gave me?" I asked.

"Yes, do you still have it." Elias answered.

I looked at him for second, wondering where he was going with this. I then reached down in my pocket to pull of the folded up photo of me an my family in the meadow, when I was younger.

He then reached for as I handed it to him.

"When this photo was taken, you had just turned four the day before. Do you remember who took it?" Elias asked as he kept the photo in his hand.

I shook my head no. Not really knowing who did take the picture. "It was Rorke." He said not looking real happy about it."

"I don't get it, are you saying that he wasn't always this bad?" I questioned really wanting to know.

"No, he wasn't, in fact when your mother was pregnant with you, we were brothers, best friends together in the military. Me, your father Eric, and Rorke." He explained.

"So before I was born, Rorke was one of you guys, he was a Ghost?" I asked.

"Yes, he was. Listen Violet, I'm going to tell you two storys. The first about you and the second one about Rorke, that will explain. The one about you is the one that Eric was worried about, so he discussed it with me." Elias finished. I then nodded my head. I couldn't believe that Rorke was actually a Ghost. What happened. I guess I'm about to find out.

Elias telling Violet her story.

"Now, when you were born, that day the most unrealistic thing  happened. You were glowing."Elias said

I looked at him for moment not sure to think.

"I was glowing. How?" I asked.

"I had no idea how or why but apparently your father did as well as Rorke because aside from me and your father, he was their too." Elias answered.

"Wait, so my dad and Rorke knew what I was. What am I exactly? " I questioned.

"Your a Conduit, the last one to be precise." He answered.

"A Conduit? Elias, what do you mean I'm the last one?" I asked.

"I mean you are only one that's or alive, but lost their power." He answered.

"Are you saying what I think your saying?" I questioned.

"Yes, your father and Rorke were both Conduits." He replied.

"Wow, so what exacutly is a Conduit?" I asked.

"Well, Conduits are still humans but they have a power. A Conduit can have one power for rest of their life, just like Eric and Rorke,  they had one. But on the other hand with you, what makes you so special, not only that you are the only remaining one existence but you are only one with powers like yours." He finished.

"But you said that Conduits could only have one power?" I said.

"Violet, that makes you even more special, other than the power that you have, you many more but you must them within yourself." He replied.

"Okay, but I don't understand why Rorke wants me, he's a Conduit too?" I answered, unsure if all of this is real.

"Listen carefully, Rorke wants you because he's not one anymore." He answered.

"You did say that a Conduit could lose their powers. So is that what happened to him?" I asked.

"Yes, and it was your father who did it, that's why Rorke hated him." Elias answered.

"Why did he do that?" I asked.

"Because he was trying to protect you from him." He answered.

"Was he trying to kill me?" I asked.

"No, he was going to use you." He answered.

"Use me, how?" I asked.

"He was going to control your mind when you were younger to get you your powers." He said.

"How was going to control my mind?" I asked.

"He was going to use his power to persuade you." He said.

"So that was his power, alright so he tried to persuade me to join him." I asked.

"But your father got tired of worrying about him, so he handled it. After that, your father knew that he had to protect you from him. That's why he didn't want to tell you until he thought that you were ready, but he never got the chance because he was always busy here in the military. And he couldn't risk anyone finding out with a letter or phone call, and that's why he told me all of this, so that whenever I would find you and thought you were ready, I would tell you, like right now." He said.

"What happened after he lost his power?" I asked.

"Well they didn't talk, only when we worked together, as Ghosts." Elias said.

"Rorke, was a Ghost, along with you and my father?" I questioned.

"And me." Merrick butted in after taking a seat.

"Yeah, and we were best of the best, Rorke was the reason why we were feared. He was our commanding officer." He said

After he finished telling me the story of how the Ghosts went on mission to Caracas in South America to assassinate their leader General Almogro but Elias also had to make a sacrifice. A sacrifice that should I've killed, Rorke but didn't.

"We searched for his body, but we were finally pulled and Rorke was declared MIA. Some years later, he shows up as the leader of the Federation, right around the he killed your father, and events of O.D.I.N followed. And now because I sacrificed him to save the others, he's after us as well as you.
