Mermaid Pods

I haven't updated this in a while so I've decided to write a chapter about mermaid pods. Enjoy!

Mermaid pods can include mermaids and mermen of all ages, each having different jobs such as scouts, leaders, warriors, hunters, etc. A mermaid pod sticks together and acts as a family. Mermaid pods can be a group of friends, relatives or both. Usually members of the pod are the same type of mermaid or at least similar. A pod with arctic mermaids and tropical mermaids probably wouldn't work out the best because of climate and survival differences.

Number of members in a pod (on average):

Open ocean: 30-50

Deep sea: usually solo, pairs, or small groups

Tropical: 10-30

Arctic: 10-30

Sirens: pretty much solitary because they don't travel but may have small friend groups 

Freshwater: 30-50 

Of course, these are just approximations, if you want to have a 30 member pods of all Deep Sea mermaids, don't let these numbers restrict you!
