On Sunday Krystal and Blake had spent hours at the diner, talking and laughing. Both were interrogated once home.

"Blake Norville Hardy, where have you been?!" His mother scolded with relief the second Blake walked in the door.
"I'm sorry mom, I went out to the diner Grandma used to take me and I ended up running to a friend there. I'm sorry we lost tract of time." She glared at him with tight lips.
"You know better."
"I know, I'm sorry." Blake gave his mother a sad, guilty look. She melted and gave him a hug.
"Don't do it again, I was worried sick." He hugged her tightly.
"I know, I'm sorry mom."
"So tell me about this friend that kept you for hours."

When Krystal got home, she tried to sneak in. Her dad was sitting on the bench next to the front door, waiting for her.
"Keep your shoes on. Let's walk and talk, come on." Krystal nodded as she reluctantly followed her father back out of the house. They walked in silence for some time. "What has happened to you today? You were gone for a long time and not so much as a call or text."
"I know, daddy. I'm sorry. I was at the diner and I was almost done when the guy, Blake, the one I have the school project with?" Her dad nodded. "He came in and we ended up talking for hours. Dad I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
"I know Krystal," he sighed. "Your mother was worried sick. We both were."
"I know, I'm sorry. I won't do it again." He threw his arm around his daughter.
"I know. So tell me more about this Blake, then we'll go home and face your mother." Krystal groaned and leaned in closer to her father.

Monday brought nothing special. Cloudy weather and boring classes. Krystal napped through half her classes while Blake doodled in most of his.

At home Krystal spent most of her time writing in her diary. She talked about Nancy, Blake and his crazy idea to go meet their grandmother. She even wrote how she was crazier for accepting.

Blake at at home looking up places to visit with Krystal. He was trying to find somewhere new and exciting. Everyone seemed to be going to the same few places, he wanted to stand out form his classmates. Krystal as his partner was a pretty good start.

Tuesday the pair met for their project, like the rest of the class did. They finished their writing early so they had a staring contest across the table.

I think that's unfair. His eyes are too pretty not to stare at. And why am I complaining again?!

Damn, she is really good at this. Her eyes don't even seem dry! I'm gonna lose, I know it.

Blake was right, he did lose. Krystal smiled and claimed his notebook as a prize, giving an acceptance speech. Blake laughed and shook his head.

Goof ball.

Wednesday was hump day, middle of the week. That much closer to the weekend. Blake and Krystal ran into each other in the halls, literally.

Ow, I think I felt actually sparks from this girl.

"Fancy running into you here." Krystal joked. Blake laughed as she squeezed by and headed to her next class.

Blake Hardy, never would imagined him as my friend, but he was. And I'm lucky for that.

Thursday, one day away from Friday, from freedom! They sat in the combined class, working on the projects still.
"I was thinking we should go to our second location so we have time to work on the writing and stuff." He looked up at Krystal who was watching his every move. "What do you think?"
"Well, I was thinking about visiting my grandma this weekend." She spoke softly so the other tables didn't hear. Blake slid the notebook to the side.
"Yeah, okay. Let me know when and where." They exchanged a smiled, and numbers.

Most of the female population at this school would kill for what I have! Blake Hardy's phone number. I could make a living off this!

I have her number. I can't wait to write her hundreds of texts I'll never send.

Friday, the last day of the week! The end of a long weeks sentence, only to return on Monday.

Most of the day Krystal sat at the end of her seating, drawing all over her notebooks. She was nervous. It wasn't a normal Friday, the weekend didn't started at the 3:15 bell, anxiety did. Tomorrow she was taking Blake to meet her grandmother. She'd never brought anyone to meet her family, and now she's bringing the most popular guy in school. What could go wrong?

Blake spent most of the day in his head. Occasionally he'd text Krystal asking questions about her grandmother and what their plans were tomorrow. He clung to every word she replied with.

At the end of the day, they ran into each other. Not literally like last time, but almost.
"See you tomorrow." Blake smiled down at her.
"See you tomorrow." Repeated Krystal.

Oh lord, what have I agreed to?
