"How you've been doin Johnny?" I ask pulling him into a hug while Dally and Pony talk. "Well I don't have someone hitting me every minute so not that bad" Johnny says smiling.

I turn over to talk to Ponyboy when I notice his hair "Oh Pony your hair.." I stare at his blond hair that once was a dark shade of brown. "I know I look lousy, but don't rub it in" he says rolling his eyes.

"Well anyway, here its a letter for Ponyboy Curtis" Dally hands over the letter crossing his arms. "Who's it from?" Pony asks flipping the letter over inspecting it, "the President of the United States" Dally says smirking at Ponyboy. "Its from your brother, Sodapop. Wanted me to give you this letter I insisted that I had no clue where you was but he still gave me the letter"

I watch as Pony reads the letter his expression changes from a few but the main one I see is sadness. "Well y'all wanna go get something to eat because I'm starvin man" Dally stands up stretching out his limbs from where he was sitting.

"Yes!" Ponyboy and Johnny shout in unison. I laugh, "did y'all not eat anything while you guys were up here?" I ask walking out of the church to Buck's car with Pony and Johnny flowing close behind.

"We did, but it was mainly just baloney" Johnny says while Pony makes a gagging noise. "Well lets go get some burgers or something" Dally hops into the car starting up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we get there Dally orders four barbecue sandwiches with drinks and fries with it. "Here ya go angel" Dally turns around to the back seats to hand me mine giving me a wink. I blush taking my food, "wait are you two together?" Johnny asks with fries sticking out of his mouth. "Yup" Dally smiles looking over his shoulder to me making me blush once again.
"Well anyway back on a more serous note we're gonna have it out with the socs over in the empty lot" Dally says looking over to Johnny who sits in the front next to him while I sit in the back next to Ponyboy.
"Are they gonna fight fair?" Johnny asks "Yeah that red head I tried to pick up became our spy, she said she talked to some guy and they were gonna play by our rules" Dally shrugs. When did she become our spy?! I thought I guess Johnny could tell that I was upset because he put his hand on my knee.
"Yeah well even if they don't I have this" Dally pulls out a gun smirking. "Dal' you kill people with heaters" Johnny says looking back up at Dally, "I know but it ain't loaded its good for bluffing though" he says.
"Do you have 15 cents mister?" A young girl around the looks about maybe 10 asks holding her younger brothers hand. "Nah we don't have any money man" Dally says shoving his gun back into the glove box putting on his shades while me, Johnny and Ponyboy turn the other way trying to not show our faces that much.
"Just 15 cents?" She asks looking straight at Dally. "Look kid we're busy here" his knuckles start turning white from gripping the side of the chair. "You don't have just 15 cents" she says once again. "No! Get out of here man!"  Dally screams at the little girl while she runs off probably scared at Dally yelling at her.
"I guess this would be the best time to say that I'm thinking about turning myself in huh?" Johnny nervously smiles over at Dally. "What?! I get you hideout man and the police off your trail and now this?" He says sighing looking over to Johnny as if he'd grown two heads.
"Well it's not fair for Darry and Sodapop to keep worrying about Ponyboy all the time and besides I have a pretty good chance of being let off easy" he says looking out to scenery outside. Me and Pony just awkwardly look at each other trying to stay as quiet as possible.
"Well did my parents at least ask about me?" Johnny asks looking over to Dally with a hopeful look. "No they didn't ask about you, but who cares do you think my old man gives a care if me and Alec are in jail or dead in a car wreck or something, no they don't care" Dally says pulling out of the Dairy Queen headed back to the church.
I forget sometimes how bad Dally and Alec had it back at New York with their family and such, though in all honesty I feel like Dally does still care about his parents just like Alec but they don't want to and seeing Johnny show that he still loves his parents makes them angry.
I'm pulled out of my thoughts when I hear people screaming and the smell of burning wood. I look up to see the church is on fire and children along with adults are standing around some crying and others trying to get all the children safe.
  "There's still children inside!" A panicked women screams at a man with tears coming down her cheeks. Before I knew it I was running up to burning church behind Ponyboy and Johnny.
