The 1:30 bell rang earlier than expected as August shoved his head into his journal with intense concentration. Rebecca gathered her things and hung her head to the vinyl flooring. As August juggled his papers and textbooks, he bumped into Rebecca, and his things spilled all over the classroom floor, she panicked,
“Oh my gosh I’m sorry!” she said shakily
“Don’t worry about it, accidents happen,” he said smoothly, his voice was charming and Rebecca noticed it.
“It’s my fault, I wasn’t looking,” she felt ashamed, and stupid
“You want to make it up to me? Meet me at the coffee bean at four o’clock.” he said, not really looking for an answer,
“Fine, but don’t you have a girlfriend? Or is it a new one this week?” she teased as they exited the class,
“Well someone missed their anti-bitch pills,” he joked
“I think someone missed their anti-player pills,” she joked back
“Anyways I have to go to Pre-Calc, so have fun with whatever you’re doing,” he said still shuffling a few papers.
“I’m going to Advanced Spanish ugh, okay, bye then.” She waved and headed down the east hall
“Bye.” He said, watching her auburn curls bounce down the hall. August thought about his new crush all period, it was Rebecca, of course. He daydreamed about her beautiful blue eyes, her fiery red locks, but most of all, her surprisingly humorous personality. There was only one problem, his girlfriend.
