Who is it? (Chapter 35)

Thomas POV

Ever since Samuel was taken everything has changed our class has gotten smaller. Parents have been pulling their kids out of school more. More than half of the school has been taken out. Everyone has freaked out about this.

We are at lunch right now. Am eating lunch with my friends. Well, what is left of my friends. Ned, Beth, Charlotte, Rebecca, Max, Tony, Mia, Chloe, and even Mark all have gone home. It's only March now, and there rumors that the school is going to be closed down for the rest of the year to prevent anyone else from going missing. I don't think it will happen. I still have faith that the school will able to figure this out. We only have this month plus April and May and that's it. Hopeful a Miracle happens soon.

At my table is Jessica, Liam, Lucas, and even Wyatt & Jonah sit with us now. Jeb hasn't really been social lately. He still going here. I think he must have caught something because when I went to check up on him he looks like he had come down with something really bad. He had bags under his eyes and he had trouble speaking. He just got really sick. He doesn't leave his room anymore. On that same visit me and Lucas both took him to the nurse and she did a couple of tests but she wasn't able to find anything wrong with him. Am not sure what going on. I just hope he can get over it soon.

But even Jonah's still here which is a little surprising because from what I know his family is very worried about him. Jonah's family wants him to go home but he told me he doesn't want to leave me alone here and in danger of being hurt again. After what happened to me in the Battle. Jonah has been scared that something bad will happen to me. I also have no idea where our friendship lies because I like him. I really do like him. He was right I just need to listen to my heart. And after our kiss, I think we both understand our feeling well now. We have been hanging out more now. Well, it also helps that we are roommates so we spend a lot of time talking.

" So who do you guys did it" I hear Wyatt ask me and Jessica. We both look at each other because how do we tell them that their family is one of the prime suspects. Well, Dylan is also another main suspect because his family has connections to Octha Weylyn. We found out that this has something to do with Octha Weylyn after reading the notes. " Um well," I say to him as I stop myself. I look over at Jessica as she nods her head no. I told her about my theory with their family. " Are only guess is Dylan Green" I tell everyone lying to them. Am bad at lying so I hope that I sound real enough for them.

" How much longer until someone else will get taken?" Liam asks us. I guess my lying was good because Liam believes me. I, Jessica, and Jeb have been at the center of this investigation for a while now. Jessica pulls out a note bad with some of Jeb's notes on it. Look back at his handwriting it's so pretty. It's one of a kind. Anyone could recognize it as Jeb's handwriting. He has written down what days a person has gone missing and so what likely day there will strike again. " Sometime this week," I say out loud as it hurts to say. I've told my aunt this already but she thinks we are overthinking about it now. So we are really by ourselves here

We just told Liam and Wyatt about it today. I told Jonah a while back now, but I didn't tell him much until now because I didn't want to worry him. "It has to be him," Wyatt says out loud.  " Agree he was always Torturing and tormenting you guys all the time. " Liam says as well. Both Liam and Wyatt also agree with me that they think it's Dylan. He has the most evidence against him. He seems unphased by all of this.

" Who knows anymore," I say while I whimper in frustration as I lean over looking down at my feet. I feel Jonah's strong hands rub against my back. Trying to make me feel better. At this point, I just want to give up. This is too confusing. There is no point anymore to try.
