grayson's point of view
"baby? come here, i wanna show you something!" i heard y/n's footsteps coming closer to my bedroom door and a second later the door was pushed open. y/n stepped in, smiling softly at me.

"what's up?" i stand up and walk to her, taking her hands in mine.

"i got a surprise for you, so you gotta close your eyes, okay?" she nodded, obliging immediately.

i smiled as i went to my dresser, pulling a velvet, square box out of the top drawer. i walked back over to y/n, taking her hands again. she jumped slightly at my sudden touch.

"you're okay baby." i chuckled softly.

i set the box in her hands, standing beside her as i told her to open her eyes.

she obeyed again, looking down at the box and then looking up at me. i raised my eyebrows slightly, as to tell her 'go ahead, open it'.

her tiny hands slowly opened the box, revealing the butterfly necklace she had wanted for forever.

she gasped, tracing her hand over the rinestones engraved in the jewelry.

"grayson. it's beautiful." she looked up at me, her gorgeous eyes meeting mine. "here." i gently lifted the necklace out of the box and led y/n to the mirror.

with her back facing my body, i hung the pendant around her neck. her dainty hands found the charm on her chest, holding it tightly.

she slowly turned around, her arms wrapping around my neck.

"thank you so much grayson. i love it."

"i'm glad you do angel." i slowly leaned in, hoping to catch y/n's lips on mine, but reopened my eyes to see y/n looking at me strangely.

"what'd you call me?"

my eyes slightly widened. oh god. i had been thinking about new nicknames for y/n, 'angel' being one of the options. it just slipped out this time, accidentally.

"oh, i'm sorry. i-i should've just said baby or something. i hope i didn't make you uncomfor-"

"say it again."

"angel?"

she hummed, pulling me in slowly. "sounds nice." she smiled softly, placing a long, sweet kiss on my lips.

"i think it's very fitting. i mean, you're my angel."
