y/m/n > your mom's name

grayson's pov
i scrolled through instagram, trying to pass the time. y/n, my girlfriend of nearly one year texted me earlier, saying she would text me when she finished her homework so i could come over, but i have yet to hear from her.

i tossed my phone down beside me on the couch and not even a second later, it dinged.

y/m/n: Hey Grayson. Y/n seems to be really stressing about her homework, and I think something she could use right now is some time with you!
Would you mind stopping by soon?

i smiled at the text, quickly replying.

me: oh my gosh, of course. i'll be over soon.
thank you for letting me know!

i quickly slipped on my shoes and a t-shirt, also grabbing a sweatshirt for y/n. she loves to wear them.

first i drove to a nearby market and got flowers and chocolates for my love, knowing how much she loves both.

when i got to her home, i knocked on the door and her mom soon answered.

"hey grayson! thank you so much for coming! i know how much she loves your company." she hugged me tightly, just like she does everytime.

"of course. in her room?" she nodded and i walked up the stairs to y/n's bedroom.

i opened the door, creeping into a very familiar room. white walls, green plants on the floor, a soft, light rug situated in the middle of the semi-bright room.

my eyes darted firstly to her desk, assuming that's where she would be. but she was not there.

instead, she was laying on her bed, fast asleep.

i mentally aw'd at her, my heart melting into mush.

i set the flowers and sweets on her desk before quietly joining her on the bed.

instinctively, she moved her body toward mine, laying her head on my chest and her arm across my torso.

i chuckled softly, moving my hand up to her hair, brushing through it with my fingertips.

she shuffled a little, tiny groans leaving her mouth every now and then.

i soon felt her yawn, her warm breath fanning across my chest.

"hi baby." her eyes fluttered open at my voice, quickly looking up at me, confused.

"when did you get here?" her sleepy voice never failed to send butterflies to my stomach.

"just a little while ago. y'know, you're pretty freakin' adorable when you sleep."

by now, she's mostly awake, her chin resting on my chest to look up at me.

"ugh, creep." i scoffed, putting my hands up in defense.

"hey- actually no, i don't have anything to say to that. that does sound really creepy." she laughed softly.

ugh, her laugh! her laugh was the most angelic noise in existence. the sound was enough to make my day 10x better.

"anyways, your momma told me you were stressed," i paused to point out the gifts i'd brought her. "so i gotcha some stuff." i smiled down at her reaction.

she slowly got up, making her way to the flowers.

"these are beautiful gray. thank you so much." i wrapped my arms 'round her waist, her body immediately leaning back into mine.

"and thank you for the sleepy surprise, even though it was especially creepy." we both laughed.

"anything for my princess."
