(Pause) Granddaughter of Voldemort

Chapter 8. Screaming

Harry POV

I wake up to the sound of screaming.

I wake up Ron and run downstairs to where the noise is coming from. When we get downstairs some of the girls (plus Hermione) are already there. Professor McGonagall was also here.

We all looked to the direction the screaming was coming from. We also heard some muffled voices saying something I didn't understand. But I knew it! Death Eater was probably torturing someone for information to get to me! 

"We need to get inside! Someone might be dying!" McGonagall sighed then opened the door and we all looked inside.

Professor di Angelo and Doctor Will where standing by the couch and VN was screaming and squirming on it. But at the same time, she was sleeping. 

She was saying things like. "Don't hurt him!", 

and "I know, we all have messed up families.", 

also "Put him down!". 

Wow! She must be having a real nightmare! (Detect sarcasm) 

During VN's screaming Pro. di Angelo was talking to her in a quiet voice, just above a whisper. "Alice, wake up. You're not there anymore.", but it didn't work. 

Suddenly he looked at McGonagall. "Give me a knife." He stated. All of the girls and some of the boys gasp or step back. I smirk. 

Going to get rid of her on her first day? I ask myself. Pro. McGonagall creates a knife and gives it to Pro. di Angelo. He steps back and everyone holds their breath, except for me. 

He throws the knife at VN and seconds before it hits her face, she grabs the knife, jumps out of couch and five seconds later the knife is at my throat. 

She opens her eyes, looks around at all of the surprised faces, (except McGonagall, she's a daughter of Athena) and takes the knife away from my throat. 

"Thanks for waking me up." She says and throws the knife at Pro. di Angelo. He catches it and puts the knife away.

"Ok, guys. Now that everything is over, time to go to bed. School starts in a few hours!" Pro. McGonagall says and everyone except for Ginny, Ron, Hermione and I are left. 

I turn to face VN, "Must've been some nightmare, huh, Death Eater?", she turns around to look at me, but Ginny gets in the way. 

"What she's gone through is none of your business and if you knew half of the things she went through, you would go insane." I laughed at the thought.

 Then Pro. di Angelo came over, "I wouldn't laugh if I were you, since she's here because she has to protect you, she won't kill you. But if you were her enemy, well let me say, she knows many ways of killing without showing a sign it was her. Her nightmares are also horrible. It sometimes makes me think how she doesn't go insane. It probably runs in the family.", 

We all look at him with wondering looks. "Her parents and me, her uncle-" there's the proof he's her uncle. "-have been through a lot and a lot of people ask how we don't go insane. She's been through twice as much as us. It must run in the family." What could he have gone through that I couldn't? I go upstairs to my room with Ron and sleep with the thought.
