Chapter 19. Christmas Adventures 2.

James POV

Hmm, I wonder where the others are. We're playing hide and seek, except that whenever someone is found, we throw a snowball at them to make sure. I'm the seeker and 5 minutes ago, the other's went to hide. Now, where are they?

I look around, trying to find some clue. A snowball in my hand, ready to throw. I see footmarks on the ground and follow them. The footmarks are freshly made so it could be one of them.

I follow them to a big lump in the ground. Just going to say something, the snow is so high today! It's so hard to walk anywhere in it. It's about 1 meter tall!

Anyway, I walk around the lump and see and almost frozen Sammy, breathing fire at her hands. She doesn't notice me yet because she's turned around. I get ready to throw the snowball.

"Whoosh!" is the sound, the snowball makes as it flies at Sammy's back.

She turns around and "Ker Splat!" is the sound it makes as it hits Sammy in the face. She rolls back from the impact of the snowball.

"Ha found you! Now come on, let's go find the other's." I hurry Sammy.

"Aww, you ruined my fire! It was getting blue!" Sammy wines as we go look for the others. I suddenly hear something, like a muffled voice or laugh.

"Shush!" I tell Sammy. She notices what I'm talking about. We both go quiet and the laughing gets clearer. I follow the sound, Sammy after me. We go to a big pillar that looks destroyed. Probably from the battle. The laughing gets louder. I see a shadow from the other side of the pillar. We walk around and see Alice and Jasper laughing at something on Alice's phone. (Leo made monster proof phones).

I decide to throw the snowball now when none of them are watching. Sammy has one ready for Alice, and I have one ready for Jasper. Two birds with one stone, or two snowballs. Oh, whatever.

I show Sammy when to throw the snowball with my fingers. 3 fingers, 2 fingers, 1 finger and throw! We both throw our snowballs at the other two. Just before they hit the target. Alice put her hand up, and the snowballs melted into water.

"You guys are going to have to do better than that!" She turns around and says, then throws a snowball at me.

A few minutes later a full-out snow fight is going on.

Alice and Jasper are a team, and me and Sammy are a team.

Alice uses her 'Grand-Daughter of Poseidon' powers and creates a snow wall that her team hide behind.

"Hey that's no fair!". Sammy yells at them.

"Yes, it is! Powers are allowed!" Alice retorts from behind the snow wall.

"Then I'm going to show her some fire power. Sounds good?" Sammy quickly whispers to me. I smirk and nod at her.

Jasper comes from behind the wall and shoots a volley of snowballs at Sammy. Sammy on the other hand melts them into water. Alice then freezes them into snowballs before the water touches the ground. In the end, some snowballs got to Sammy, others didn't.

Sammy turns around to look at me.

"Well what are you standing there for? Help me!" She orders and I start making a wall.

Once I finish the wall, I make some snowballs from the snow around me. And the fight goes on.

After an hour of throwing snowballs at each other. We spent another hour making the biggest snowmen Gaea has ever seen. And I'm sure that after 2 hours of the snow and cold. We all had a bit too much.

We're all sitting in the Great Room, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows, and eating cake/blue cookies. (Don't ask me where they came from).

"Today was a fun day, wasn't it?" Sammy asked, fiddling with her fork.

"Yah, it was. Especially the snow fight." Alice smiles.

"True, it was. Now, what are we going to do tomorrow?" Jasper asks us. We all quiet down and wonder.

"I don't know, explore the castle?" I reply.

"That's a good idea! I heard that in the castle, there's a room of requirement. It can be whatever you want! Let's go visit that!" Alice exclaims. We all nod, then I see our uncles come in the Great Room. I wave them over to the table we're sitting at.

"Hi guys, what you guys doing?" Uncle Nico asks us.

"We where outside, playing with the snow for the last 2 hours.". Alice informs them.

"What were you guys doing?" Sammy inquires.

"Will needed some things for the infirmary. That's all.". Alice's face then lights up.

"Do you guys know where the Room of Requirement is?" she wonders. Of course! The teachers must know where it is!

They both make a look.

"No. Why do you ask?" Uncle Will asks us.

"Well, we want to go visit it tomorrow, maybe you guys could come with us?" I tell them.

"Sure we'll come. Now give me some blue cookies, I'm starving." Uncle Nico tells us, while sitting down.

We all eat, talk, and laugh together, just like a normal family would. I almost forgot the reason we came here. The War with Tartarus and Kronos. But for now I don't want to talk about that. It's Christmas! Not battle time. I think to myself and drink some more of my hot chocolate.
