This oneshot doesn't have a pairing. Gavin may be a little OOC in this as well (let me know if he is). Comment and let me know what y'all think.

Warnings: Bullying, Violence

"Move Freak," an upperclassman snarls shoulder checking (Y/N) causing them to stumble and lose their balance. Their books and class materials scatter across the floor to be stepped on and kicked by passing students. Sighing in disdained resignation they kneel gathering what they can while dodging stamping feet. Through the crowd they notice another student, Connor, doing the same to help.

Connor is the definition of "good" in (Y/N) eyes. He is always kind and, much like now, goes out of his way to help his fellow students and even the teachers. By the time they've both gotten everything that had fallen to the floor the hallway has cleared out for the day. "Here you go, (Y/N). Are you okay," Connor asks as he hands them back their belongings.

(Y/N) nods sighing, "Yeah, Connor. I'm okay." They give him a faint smile that falls when they see Gavin and Connor's twin brother Conan heading in their direction. Gavin is in their class. His rude comments and loud crass nature never fails to give (Y/N) a headache.

"Yo, Con! Ready to go," He calls as they draw closer. Connor turns halfway sending them a wide smile paired with a nod. "Sweet. Let's go."

Turning back to (Y/N), Connor wishes them a good afternoon before following the two other boys out of the school.

LATER THAT NIGHT

"Guys," Connor begins looking up from his homework, "I think (Y/N) is being bullied by Liam and James."

Gavin and Conan both look up from their own homework. "What makes you think that, Connor," Conan questions.

"Well, I saw Liam and (Y/N) bump into each other in the hallway then their papers and books went flying," Connor explains, "I noticed that (Y/N) was rubbing their shoulder right after too." All three of them appear thoughtful for a moment.

Gavin suddenly speaks up, "I have a few classes back-to-back with (Y/N). If it'll make you feel better I'll follow them tomorrow." Connor's eyes brighten with gratitude as he eagerly nods. With the matter settled they all return to their homework.

THE NEXT DAY

FIRST POV

You sit in your usual seat about center of the classroom watching the time tick by on the clock as Ms. Daniels drones on about the Roman Empire. History has to be the most boring class, you think. Just before you lose your sanity the bell rings. You wait patiently gathering your things as the first rush of kids leave before standing and making your way into the hallway. It's crowded like usual as you shuffle your way to your next class.

Ahead of you you notice Liam and James hovering around your locker. Your stomach instantly knots in trepidation wondering what torturous comments they'll sling at you today and if they'll be any more creative. Wanting to get it over you spin the code into your lock and swing open your locker door without even acknowledging the two idiots on either side of it.

"Geez, how rude," Liam comments, "Not even a 'hello'." You roll your eyes as you grab your math textbook and slam the metal contraption shut. Turning away to melt back into the crowd before their nastier side kicks in your saved when your eyes falls on one of the teachers standing nearby. They never stop the nasty comments, but at least the sight of them deters any physical harm from your two bullies.

Your able to slip into your Pre-AP Calculus class without incident sitting in your seat at the front of the class. Another boring hour passes before the bell rings for lunch. You stay in your seat finishing your notes so you don't have to feel like cattle being herded at the lunch line.

However, you never make it to the cafeteria. James is waiting for you in the blind spot of the security cameras. He surprises you with a book to the face sending you sprawling on the ground hallway spinning. You can faintly hear their laughter before a shadow passes your blurry vision. Several grunts and thumps later a familiar hazy face sways infront of you.

"R-reed," you groan questioningly.

Gavin curses, "Holy shit...I think your nose is broken. Let's get to the nurse." He helps you to your feet supporting your weight as you dizzily head to the nurses office. Gavin sits with you until your parents arrive to pick you up watching as your packed into the car and taken from the school.

TWO DAYS LATER

It's lunch on your first day back after your nose was broken. You take your tray head down to your usual table at the back, but you pause by Conner's, Gavin's, and Conan's table. You stop asking just loud enough to be heard, "Can I sit with you guys?"

All eyes are instantly on you. Connor scoots over slightly so you can sit next to him with a smile. "How's your nose? Gavin told us it was broken," Conan inquires curiously.

You look at him smiling softly, "It hurts. Nothing I can't handle though." You blush slightly having caught Gavin staring at you silently.

"It looks better than it did two days ago. If Conner hadn't asked me to keep an eye on you who knows what those asshole would have done," he growls.

You raise your brows surprised looking at Conner. He plays with his food refusing to look up at you as he defends himself, "I was worried about you. I was right to be it seems."

You smile bumping him softly, "Thank you Conner and you too Gavin. I really appreciate you guys looking out for me."

From that day on (Y/n) joined Gavin, Conan, and Conner every chance they got. They were quickly accepted as the fourth musketeer.
