"Lower" Regina said with a smirk, looking at the cards in front.
"It's doubles, your out" Brandon said as he flipped the fourth card over.
"Fuck" Regina huffed, slouching down in her seat in annoyance.
"Emma, your turn" Brandon said with a smile, knowing the blonde will win.
"Higher" Emma said with a fake nervous smile, acting as if she didn't know.
"Correct. Last card, Swan, black or red"
"Red"
"Correct, Emma wins" Brandon said with a smile, causing a sigh of relief for the blonde.
"Dammit!" Regina huffed, kicking the side of the table as she knew she had to win. She looked across the table to see Emma smirking at her. "You rigged the game, didn't you"
"Yep and I never said it wasn't allowed. I won so you have to answer all my questions" Emma said with a smug smirk, standing up to lean against the table.
Everyone around them was smirking as they knew they're plan worked. Regina's eyes scanned them all, noticing they all planned this. She glared at Emma in with anger, standing up from her seat.
"My office" Regina demanded, immediately heading towards the door.
"Good luck, Em" Isabella quickly said, giving her a worried smile.
Emma returned the gesture as she followed Regina out, keeping the distance. As she walked in, she saw Regina holding herself up against the back of the sofa. She was annoyed and scared, all at the same time.
"Regina" Emma softly said, closing the door as she took a step forward.
"What" Regina growled her response, not even bothering to look at the blonde.
"Let's get this over with" Emma suggested, walking to sit on the back arm of the sofa. Regina stood up straight and looked at the blonde, not saying anything and glaring hard. "My first question is when we dated, did you love me"
"I need a drink before we do this" Regina sighed, walking towards her desk to get a drink.
"Ok but no drugs" Emma sternly said as she watched the brunette pour a glass of whiskey.
Regina nodded as she lifted the glass, drinking it whole in one go. She sighed in relief as she caught her breath, dropping down onto her chair. She looked up at the ceiling, hesitating as she thought about her answer.
"Yes... I loved you more than I ever wanted to admit but yes, I loved you" Regina replied, refusing to move her eyes off the ceiling.
"Do you still love me" Emma softly asked, looking at the brunette with a worried look.
"I..." Regina hesitated again, taking a few deep breaths as she thought about it. Regina looked over at the blonde, seeing the worried look across her face. She knew she couldn't lie and that look on her face made it impossible to try. "Yes... I love you just as much as I did before you left"
"So why did you cheat on me" Emma curiously asked, looking upset at the brunette.
"Technically I didn't cheat, I didn't sleep with her. I just told you I did but I didn't, I just kissed her" Regina replied with a sigh, pouring another drink for herself.
"Why did you make me think you cheated and then say all that stuff about me" Emma asked with a sigh, knowing with the brunette she had to spell it out.
"I was blackmailed to break your heart. If it makes you feel better, I broke mine even more" Regina replied with a soft sigh as she turn her gaze back to the ceiling.
