Raelyn smiled when she appeared in her choice of vacation spot, oh how long she had dreamt of a cozy beachside retreat. She felt the warmth surrounded her but when she inhaled she didn't smell the salty ocean, she smelt brimstone. Raelyn's eyes whipped open and instead of white beaches and crystal blue waters she found herself looking at a gruesome cavern that extended as far as the eye could see. It was painted in a dreadful red from all the fires and she could hear the moans of tortured souls echoing towards her.
"This isn't the Bermuda Triangle," Raelyn growled even though she knew exactly where she was.
There was a sudden peal of laughter. Raelyn turned around and saw Lagrius walking towards her.
"Welcome to the Under Realm," he said. "I told you I'd get you."
Raelyn glared at him as he smiled smugly at her. He looked like he wanted to say more but once again Raelyn snapped. She cried out in frustration and punched him in the face. The force sent him flying backward and consequently knocked him out. Now that she knew she wasn't where she was supposed to be the warmth suddenly became oppressive. Even though she knew it was probably her surroundings she forced herself to take a few deep breaths out of habit, trying really hard not to hear Godyn's voice in her head.
No one can know. You have to hide it or not even I will be able to save you.
She wondered what she should do now.
She looked up to where the white glowing portal, one that the Evil Dude used for conferences with the Almighty, you know treaties, trading hostages and other boring things, was swirling above her. It was guarded on the White Kingdom's side but completely open down here. Not surprising, most Demon's couldn't handle the pure white magic so jumping in it would be extremely painful or in some cases deadly. Problem was that wasn't the portal she had used. This portal had restricted access, guarded by... well... mostly Godyn, or a Guardian if he was sleeping. The one she left through had been a generic travel fountain, she shouldn't have ended up here.
But there was no time to quibble over how she ended up in the wrong place.
She knew the why she was down there and she didn't want to give Lagrius the pleasure of being the person who trapped her there.
She could go back up if she wanted to, she understood the basics of how this particular portal worked.
She could even put out an S.O.S. flare, even in the Under Realm Godyn would be able to sense it and come to get her. He may have been mad at her, but he wouldn't leave her down here.
But that didn't mean she wanted to call him. He had been so stubbornly arrogant about her leaving in the first place, and she had been caught not even two minutes out from under his watchful eye. She didn't want to prove Godyn's assumptions right either. He'd never let her leave again.
She glowered at Lagrius' unconscious form for a moment before making up her mind. She knew of only one person who could help her get to the Bermuda Triangle without alerting Godyn or anyone else. So she left Lagrius on the ground, storming off towards the tall ebony castle she could make out in the distance.
It was a humorous sight to behold, a pure white Angel marching and muttering to herself as she went, a suitcase rolling on behind her. Oddly enough no one tried to stop her as she waded her way through the torture and confused demons on her way to the castle.
Though she got strange looks no one stopped her at the gate, they even opened the door for her when she got up the impossibly slick stairs. She stomped through the gaudy castle, throwing doors open until she found one of the people she was looking for. It wasn't who she was really looking for, but he'd have to do for right now.
