Lagrius hadn't wanted to agree but with the Evil Dude's orders, but with Raelyn already walking away he had no choice but to comply. And since there wasn't a hotel for angels in the Abyss, there was only one place he could take her to which would keep her relatively safe and comfortable.
That was, of course, his place.
And yes, it had to be his place, because he couldn't trust any of his friends with her, and he couldn't have her running off on her and getting all corrupted by someone else therefore taking all the credit and possibly his promotion. So he took her across the Abyss, because his place was in the completely opposite direction of the Palace and then watched as she got accustomed to the décor.
His place was apparently smaller then hers, she had said so under her breath but he had heard her say it none-the-less. The black marbled apartment only had two bedrooms and one bathroom, the other rooms were multipurpose except the kitchen which was apparently smaller than hers as well. He had let her wander around, and take in her surroundings before showing her to the guest room.
Though he should have left her with some privacy he refused to leave and instead watched as Raelyn unpacked her one suitcase. He had only turned his back when she decided to change into more comfortable clothes, which turned out to be white leggings and white wife beater, so long it fell almost to her knees and looked as if it might have belonged to someone else. As soon as she was comfortably settled they found themselves at the start of their first dilemma.
They had nothing to talk about. So instead they stood there staring at one another. He eyeing her with rapt interest, she eyeing him with disdain while simultaneously leaning back on her heels with her arms crossed over her chest.
It was clear as day she didn't trust him and he didn't blame her. He was obviously still trying to corrupt her, no point in trying to pretend either. He had several choices in front of him.
He could trick her, force her or allow her to corrupt herself.
But however way he did it, he would have to make sure that it was directly or indirectly caused by him. If he couldn't do that he wouldn't get the credit from it and he wouldn't get his promotion. That meant he couldn't leave her on her own, couldn't let another demon get a hold of her and that meant, to an extent earning her trust enough to get her to let her guard down.
Now he had a side project too. He wanted to find out what was going on between her and his boss.
The Evil Dude had seemed awfully familiar with her, and it was weird that he would want to do any sort of kindness for an Angel. Lagrius was still kind of reeling over the fact that his boss had told him to do anything to keep Raelyn happy, and even more surprised that she allowed the Evil Dude to talk her into staying.
From what Lagrius had learned about Raelyn he would have thought that she would have called for Godyn the second she realized she was in the Abyss. The fact that she hadn't, especially when it was a well-known fact that Godyn would storm the Abyss and farther for her, meant that Lagrius was missing something and he hated feeling like he was out of the loop.
"So... what do you do for fun around here?" she asked him. She was leaning against the bed frame trying to look like she wasn't nervous. He wasn't stupid enough to assume that she thought she was safe with him, she knew he'd be up to something.
"Depends entirely on what you want to do," he replied looking her up and down. Could he really take her out with her gleaming like a big white beacon?
"Something fun," she repeated with a dry look on her face. He hated how she looked at him, like he was an idiot, incapable of understanding a simple command.
