Chapter 6: Festival Preparations!

Ok just some notes before hand!

(F/B) = Favourite Breakfast

(F/D) = Favourite Drink

.*~~(Y/N)'s POV~~*.

Rope. Thick rope. Rope the width of a Green Anaconda lay motionless on the ground.

A room. A dark one at that. Makes you wonder what kind of monsters lurk in the darkness.

Red. Red eyes appear in the centre of the room ahead of me. I ask myself what kind of demon it is.

The eyes grow closer and closer until I can see more than just eyes. I see some slithers of chocolate brown fall down beside the eyes. Wait. I see something else. Something that makes me sure that they're eyes. If I concentrate hard enough, I am able to see some emotion in the two red dots. The emotion is a mix of frustration, fury and hollowness. Reminds me of my sister's eyes. As I attempt to decipher who the person is, it speaks.

The person spoke in a clear, yet, trembling voice. "Why..." The person said.

'Why'. A simple three lettered word, is what you'd think by the first look. It actually means so much more, especially in this case. The word rang through my head as if it were running circles around my brain, taunting it. 'Why...'

The person stuck their foot out into the only visible light before me and then...

Light. The darkness was replaced with light. I flutter my eyes open and read what time it is on my phone. It read Sunday November 1st 2020 7:26. As I was about to get up off my bed, I notice Ayano's eyes staring at me, the kind of eyes that were in my dream but instead of anger, it looked...happy?

"Ayano..? What are you doing?" I ask her groggily. She's never done this before, I wonder what's gotten into her.

"Oh, I was just about to wake you up so you can get ready to set up the festival." After she said that, I found that she was already out of her pyjamas and into her school uniform.

"Hold on, I thought that you said that you wasn't onboard with this idea and now you're the most eager out of the two of us! Did something happen?" I ask her while walking into the kitchen to make breakfast but once I got in there, I saw (F/B) and (F/D) set out on the table.

"Oh, (Y/N), I made you some breakfast already so you don't need to worry about doing that."

"Ah! Thanks, Ayano!" This is bit peculiar but maybe I should just appreciate the gesture, she finally might be starting to change.

After I had eaten my breakfast, I got changed into the uniform and ventured out. We decided to meet up with the Yamada boys because we thought it would be nice to walk there together.

We arrived at their house and so I asked Ayano, "Do you wanna knock?" To which Ayano hesitantly nodded and went to reach out for the door. Right before she was about to knock, the door swung open and revealed a hyper Hanako.

"YAY! THEY'RE HERE!" He said while my sister was still frozen in her place with a slight look of irritation.

"Hanako, not so loud! (Y/N), Ayano, would you like to come in?" Taro asked. To be polite, I accepted and my sister followed behind me. I need to remember to keep in character. Taro told us that they'll be ready in a second, they just need to brush their teeth. In the meantime, I decided to ask Ayano why she was all prepped up to go to the school.

"Well, I just thought it was another opportunity to find my senpai." That's a lie. Oh well, no point in doubting her, there's no reason for me to exploit her lie. Well, not yet anyway.
