Chapter 9

I slowly processed the fact that Mully saw my moment earlier with Eddie, I began panicking of what I should tell him. My heart began speeding up like a race car and my palms began to sweat. Should I tell him the truth or should I make up some dumb excuse? Wait, I can't tell him, I'd never hear the end of it and probably ruin our friendship forever! So for the sake of our friendship and video production, I decided to deny it.

"Look bro, take my word for it, there's nothing going on between us two."

"Oh yeah? Then explain the touching and smiling shit" whispered Mully

"I was holding his arm because I swear my hands were about to freeze off and his hoodie looked so comfy and warm. The smiling, hey, can't a bro smile at his bud while sleeping? His hair looked pretty messed up and he looks weird when he sleeps"

"But-"

"Hey! You two at the back! Shut up and concentrate on the board" yelled the professor

As the lies nervously came out of my mouth, I noticed how Mully's facial expression changed from the happy to a very confused and unconvinced look. I can't blame him, I wouldn't believe myself either with that stupid excuse. Luckily, after a few arguments, I finally got him to believe my story and we turned back to face the front

The rest of the day was pretty boring but the home bell finally ran and I literally sprinted out of class before Mrs Jones could give us one more shitty lecture.

By the time Mully and I arrived at the front gate, I overheard Josh and Narrator arguing about something.

"Hey losers. I was just telling Grant-

<That's Narrator's real name by the way, for all of you who didn't know>

"That I DON'T look like this fucking potato he's showing me" yelled Josh

I sat down besides Narrator and looked upon his laptop screen. As I saw a potato wearing a small knitted beanie, I burst out laughing and faced Josh

"Well dude... It does have a close resemblance" I said, before getting a full on slap across my face

"Fuck you guys" said Josh, crossing his arms

As we all wheezed and laughed our heads off, I began looking around and noticed something was off. Where's Eddie?

"Hey umm.. Where's Eddie at? I said, still looking around

"Of course you'd like to know, lover boy" teased Narrator

I gave him an unamused look while waiting for him to catch his breath

"Yohh, you're such a sour grape, you know? He said he's helping Gabby out with some last portfolios in the office." said Narrator

Don't take me wrong, I'm not that kind of selfish bitch that would ruin someone's friendship out of jealousy or something, but ever since him and Gabby became closer, I honestly missed him more than usual. As the sound of laughter and giggles softened in the distance, I decided that it would be best to leave already before I go looking for Eddie or start punching Narrator

"Look guys, I'm gonna head home. These teachers gave me a headache and I need to rest" I said

"Oh, we were thinking of stopping for some ice-cream. You sure you wanna leave already?" asked Mully

I gave a polite nod before climbing into my car. Sorry but today was absolute shit and I just want to relax by myself right now

I arrived home and hung my bag on the rack before falling onto the couch. Damn, I'm so tired. Trying to fall asleep with a headache ain't the easiest but I closed my eyes and dozed off

<Few hours later>

Eddie's POV

It's been 3 hours since class has ended and I finally arrived home to see Juicy fast asleep upon the couch. I placed the keys on the counter and grabbed my laptop from upstairs. Shit, I really need to finish this editing. I placed the laptop on the desk and gently nudged Juicy to wake him up

"Eddie?" said Juicy, slowly waking up

"Yeah dawg, it's me" he whispered back

"Ugh, must've dozed off. What time is it?" yawned Juicy

"Almost 7" replied Eddie

"7 o'clock?! Where the fuck were you for so long?" shouted Juicy

"Dude, chill. We had to help Mr Snyder sort out some portfolios in the office. I guess the work was much more than I expected" explained Eddie

"Geez man, you got me worried" replied Juicy, lowering his voice

"Aww, did you miss me?" joked Eddie

"Well ya, imagine I was gone for hours with you having no clue where I was!" said Juicy

"Alright alright, sorry. Look, tomorrow is the orientation for the freshmen so everyone else has a day off. Why don't we have a fun bro day tomorrow? Just the two of us. We'll go out and have some fun, plus, I can make it up to you for worrying you so much. How does that sound?" asked Eddie

I sat straight up and played back what he just said. A day out? Just the two of us? Trying to slow down my now rapidly beating heart and stop my cheeks from becoming full tomatoes, I calmed myself down, smiled and agreed before gently laying back down

I can't wait for tomorrow!!
