Chapter 15

"Hi there gentlemen. How may I help you?" greeted a friendly nurse at the front desk

"Hi, yes. Our friend Gaege got punched in the shoulder and we are worried that he could've fractured something" explained Josh

"Oh well you can follow me to the waiting room and we'll call a doctor to have a check up with you shortly." smiled the nurse before escorting us to the waiting room

"What if I fractured something?" I panicked

"Calm down, they'll just do a few tests on you and if you have, they'll assign you some painkillers and a new sling. That's not too bad, right?" reassured Narrator

I began to calm down and sat back into my seat. As my mind began to wonder once more, I thought back to Eddie. How quiet and angry he looked when we left the house. Was he mad at me? Does he hate me now? But why? If he really didn't want to kiss me, he would've pulled away, right? RIGHT?

My daydream was quickly interrupted by a friendly doctor, calling me into his office

"Hello sir, Mr Gaege, right?"

"Yes, I got punched in the shoulder and I'm scared I might've fractured something" I explained

"Oh, well follow me to the room next door and we can get a few x-rays done" replied the doctor before we headed towards the x-ray room

The lights went off and the machine scanned my arm

"Oh ,well it seems that you have a tiny fracture in your Proximal Humerus, but nothing too major. You can go back to my office and I will get your treatment sorted"

I headed back to the room next door and sat upon the counter. I got bored eventually while waiting so I began wondering through the passages and entered a small waiting room. There were a few people seated but one of them looked very familiar

"Eric?" I asked

As the young man lifted his head it turned out to be indeed, his long time friend, Swaggersouls

"No way!! Gaege?!" said Eric before getting up and bringing me into a tight hug

"Oh my god, I haven't seen you since High school! How you been?" I replied, breaking the hug

"Good, my brother is getting discharged today so I thought, why not pick him up" he smiled "What about you? That's a nasty arm you have there dude"

"Oh, yeah had a accident with Eddie and ended up getting punched" I replied

"Eddie!! Oh my gosh, how is he? And the rest of the boys" he continued "Damn, it's been too long since I've seen you all"

"They are actually in the other waiting room down the hall if you'd like to talk to them" I said

"Fuck yeah!" agreed Eric before we headed towards the boys

As we arrived, their eyes shot open at the sudden sight

"No... Fucking....way" mumbled Josh "Swagger?! When last!"

We all shared a huge group hug, obviously me being careful with my shoulder.

"It's so great to see you again!" said Narrator

"Same here. I was talking with Gaege earlier and if you guys are up for it, the Misfits and I are throwing a party tomorrow night. You guys can join us if you'd like. We'll have an awesome time and just catch up you know?" continued Eric

"Hell yeah! We'll definitely make it" cheered Mully

Our conversation came to an end by the doctor returning with my treatment. I headed back into the office and he injected some pain killers and medication into my shoulder, made me hold an ice pack against the bruise before wrapping it up into a neat sling

"You're all set! Keep the ice pack on your shoulder for the next hour and we'll contact you for your next appointment. You can head back to the front desk for the payment"

I gave him a polite smile before climbing off the bed and heading to the front desk

"Cool sling! So, how severe is it?" asked Mully

"It's just a hairline fracture. But don't worry, they'll contact me for my next appointment and hopefully it's healed in the next month or two"

"What are you going to tell Eddie?" asked Narrator

Oh shit! Eddie! I completely forgot about him. How do I explain this to him? I know he might still be mad at me but I don't want to get him worried or anything.

"Uhh... we'll see how it goes" I replied before we got up, checked out at the front desk and headed home
