Heracles and maxion looked around but at maxions side, there was a large humanoid with a single eye wearing a helmet. "Look out!" Yelled heracles as he pushes maxion to dodge the Cyclops attack, as soon as they got up maxion looked at the Cyclops and said "What is that!?" "That's a Cyclops, but it's not! It's actually a light elemental in the form of a Cyclops" answered heracles. The Cyclops raised its mace and slammed it on maxion but he jumped out of the way, heracles punched it on the stomach thus causing it to fall on its back. "Maxion! Do you have a weapon?" Asked heracles but maxion shook his head "Ok, then leave the fighting to me" he said as he walks up the Cyclops head, he grabbed it's eye with both hands and pulled it out. The Cyclops screamed in pain before dissolving into white ether along with its eyeball, "there, it's over, let's continue" he said as he looked at maxion.
The duo continued to walk through the 3rd floor, they entered a large room and exit it and went down the stairs and entered the 4th floor. "I'm.... sensing something" said maxion "We must be close to the 5th floor so the taphus core contains nemesis, the goddess of retribution, even though her body is an empty shell since the end of the war" said heracles. Maxion walked towards the treasure chest and opens it, it contains a sword that has a golden hilt with two eye like design "That's the sight sword, haven't seen that since my 3rd adventure" said heracles. Maxion picks up a scabbard from the chest and put the sword in it, he puts the scabbard around his waist "now you look like a swordsman" chuckled heracles. The duo walk through the 4th floor and went downstairs to to the final floor, they walked around the stone wall and entered the large chamber where the taphus core is located.
"The center of this room contains the taphus core. hmm... How do we get it to activate?" Said heracles, maxion walked towards one end of the room and noticed a device with a white button. He pressed it and the whole floor shook as the center of the floor opens up thus revealing a yellow glowing pit, a large metal orb floats out of the pit and projects a blue ring with many symbols before it disappears. The metal orb hovers towards heracles and maxion "That's the taphus core, get ready!" Said heracles as maxion took out the sight sword, the taphus core glowed white from the cracks before breaking to pieces. In the taphus cores place is a large woman with black wings and wearing black armor, in her right hand is a large axe, her arms are exposed but the duo can see she has pale white skin.
"Must... have... retribution..." she growled as she swung her axe but heracles stopped the blow by holding with two hands "That's nemesis, the goddess of retribution! Quick maxion, use your sword!" He said, maxion rushes towards nemesis and jumps at her with a war cry as he's ready to slash his sword. Nemesis blocks his attack with her bracers and she knocked him to the ground, however, heracles managed to disarm her and he punched her across her helmet thus causing her to yell in pain. She summoned her axe and swung it at maxion but he blocked her attack with his sword, thus causing an opening for heracles to attack. Heracles punched her arm causing her yell in pain and she kicked him in the stomach, "... fulg..." said maxion and a bolt of lightning started to zap nemesis causing her to scream in pain.
She flapped her wings but she could hover above ground due to being weakened, maxion proceeds to rush towards her and proceeds to impale her with his sword. "That's the spirit maxion!" Said heracles with a smile, nemesis started to glow white but instead of dissolving into ether like the other monsters, she shrunk into a childlike body and her wings turned from black to white. "Huh, I guess that even without her spirit, her physical form can't turn into ether. She can't use her powers because she lacked her spirit" explained heracles, maxion looks at nemesis who is now in the form of a child and he can see that she's breathing. He put away his sight sword and picked her up, suddenly, he sees her axe disappearing into white ether "alright, now since we made the light taphus inactive, general agon will be furious when he gets there. Then again, will father be pleased if he sees nemesis in this state despite her spirit being separated from her body?" Said heracles. "We go out now" said maxion and heracles nodded "right, we will leave this place" he said.
