glory of heracles: gift from the gods

Trantia arc 1

Trantia is a nation located to the west, it started out as a small village 800 years ago until one man came to the village. He claims to have immortality due to possessing one of the pieces of oceanus's soul, but no one believed him so he constructs a wooden tower to test his immortality. After the tower was completed, he climbs up the tower and when he reached the top, he sees the villagers gathering around to watch. He jumps off the tower and landed 9 stories into the ground, the villagers at first was awestruck but when the man got up it surprised them. It proves that he's immortal so the villagers made him king and thus, the kingdom of trantia is born. 100 years ago the Greeks came to the kingdom of trantia and built the dark taphus that housed the body of thanatos, fortunately it hasn't activated to pump ether from the ground.

"Captain arguspedes! His majesty requests your audience!" Said the guard, arguspedes enters the castle after traveling from Mount Caucasus. In the castle, it's made entirely of black marble but with some gold decorations such as murals on top of the walls. He walks upstairs to the second floor and enters the throne room, he can see king Albion "you've requested me, your majesty?" He said. King albion nodded and said "How goes the taphus?" "The light taphus is inactive because it's core, which housed the body of nemesis, is gone" said arguspedes. "Gone you say? And did you ordered general agon to not kill the innocents of neapolis?" Asked King Albion, arguspedes got nervous and replied "Yes I did, he didn't kill any civilians but he sent me along with my men back here". The king wasn't happy with the last part of the news "that fool, I specifically sent him to use the light taphus in order to amplify the spell casters spells for me to pass my knowledge to Greece and Egypt" he said as he's refraining from getting angry.

"My apologies your majesty, shall I go to my quarters?" Said arguspedes but the king shook his head and said "No, I've got this secret I want to tell you. It's about me having a connection towards oceanus". "Oceanus? You mean the titan of the seas who's soul has been shattered by zeus?" Said arguspedes puzzled, King Albion nodded "yes, I am but a host to one of his soul pieces. I inherited his compassion towards mortal humans and his mercy, general agon is also a host of the titans soul fragment and inherited his wrath and revenge towards zeus" he explained. "What happened to the other pieces?" Asked arguspedes "there are three pieces of the titans soul: me and general agon became immortal by being hosts, the third piece is rather unknown. Not even I know where the third piece is nor who is currently the host of said third piece, you may retire to your quarters" explained King Albion.

Arguspedes nodded and left, he enters his quarters but he sees the enchantress sitting on his bed "ah! Saria, what are you doing here?" He said "I came here because I missed you, it's not very often we crossed each other's paths. I trained with other spell casters while you train your men to go on missions by the king himself" she replied as she got off the bed. Arguspedes hugs her "I wonder what the king has in store for me, after all, I'm not from here" he said "I'm sure the mission is either going to Greece or to the dark taphus to check on the taphus core... if you go on a mission, I can prepare my spells and help you" said saria. Arguspedes nods as he watches her leaves the room, he sat down on his bed wondering if he did the right thing by reporting to the king on what's happening. He looks down and see his sandals (it's true that he's the only one wearing sandals while the soldiers of trantia wore metal boots, it's because he's from atlantis), arguspedes picks up a book about heroes of Greece. The book goes from talking about talking about cadmus, the first Greek hero, to talking about heracles and his adventures "I wish I could be a hero just like them, that way I can help not only trantia but of Greece" he said to himself.
