There really was a lot to prepare. Catra had been planning this for a little bit. Immediately she texts Lonnie.
Catra: Hey Lonnie, can i borrow your car?
Lonnie: What, is your plan happening?
Catra: yes, we're going at eight
Lonnie: Aren't you glad you did my dare? I was right after all, you guys are hands down the cutest couple i know.
Catra: So can i take your pickup truck?
Lonnie: yea, but don't hurt her
Catra: Adora? I never want to hurt her again
Lonnie: Good but No dumbass, my car. You can get it whenever.
Lonnie: Have fun on your date.
Catra: ...thanks lonnie
Now that she'd sorted that out she set out to prepare the rest. Once she had the car, she needed 3 things:
Food
She was going to prepare a Charcuterie board and bring along some of Adora's favourite snacks, that was romantic right? Catra had to stop doubting herself, it would be fine. Not like she was proposing or anything. It was definitely too early for that.
Flowers
Catra had actually spent a significant amount of time researching flower languages. Each flower was chosen deliberately, even if Adora probably didn't know flower language. She ordered the bouquet at a local flower shop. When she picked it up she marvelled at its beauty. Violets and Lavender interwoven with White roses and Tulips, Amaryllis flowers in the center, it was striking. She only hoped Adora would like it too.
Blankets and pillows
It was 7:30 in the evening, Half an hour left before their date. Catra had gone above and beyond to make this night perfect. She had put all the foods for the charcuterie board into a cute woven picnic basket, loaded the pillows and blankets into the car and spent way too long deciding what to wear. In the end, Catra settled on something comfortable and stylish. A loose button-up shirt and a nice pair of pants along with her signature leather jacket. The flowers were the last thing she had to take before driving the short distance to pick up Adora. It was time.
