Growing Army

So far things are going great. My general, as expected, is very loyal. The same can be said for all the gems forming. They are forming faster than I expected. Turns out chemicals can speed up the process. Just a little longer and my army is ready.

"How is the training going?" I asked

"They are exceeding expectations." She responded

"And their fusions?"

"Some of the most powerful I've seen."

"Fantastic." I said, venom practically dripping from my voice "Jasper."

"Yes?" Jasper responded with a hint of worry

"You've been a great general, so I've decided to reward you."

"Really?"

"Yes, find the strongest warrior we have. They will fuse with you for the battle against those Crystal clods."

"I get to fuse for the battle?!"

"Yes, don't make me regret this."

"Trust me Peridot, you won't."

She started to walk out of the room before I stood up and picked her up with my tentacle. She had a horrified look on her face. Like a child that just saw a spider.

"If you even try to betray me, I will shatter you without hesitation. Don't forget, you serve me." I hissed

She nodded quickly and I dropped her.

"Now get back to training my army."

"Yes, your highness."
