Screaming. Crying. Screaming and crying. Lots of noise in my ear, muffled noise. I open my eyes. Blurry figures all around me, looking down at me.
I do not feel good. Like someone just stabbed me in the heart. No, it's more like my lungs are on fire, gasping for air they so desperately need. Both.
Pushing. Something is pushing down on me repeatedly, right near my heart, and I feel it beating again, much faster than it was, and feel like I've just been resurrected.
"She's breathing!" Someone yells. "We need to get her to the hospital now!"
I feel myself getting lifted, onto something soft like a bed. They strap me in.
Then darkness.
***
Red and blue, flashing in my eyes. Siren's going off. I open my eyes and see a woman, right next to me, crying, tissue in hand. She's shaking her head at me.
Cold. Goosebumps on my skin, hairs sticking straight up. I'm outside.
They lift me up into something, what I gathered from my surroundings it's an ambulance. The woman who was crying and two other people come in with me.
Slam! goes the doors, and then we jolt to a start and speed away.
The woman holds my hand as she leans over me, getting my face wet from her tears. I wipe them the best that I could, but I'm very weak, so is my arm.
I'm still lightheaded and don't feel right. I just need to close my eyes...
***
It smells like chemicals. More figures are around me, more people. We're somewhere different.
"We need to get her to the emergency room! Now!" They push me through a set of doors, the woman trying to come with me but a guy saying she can't go any further, that she has to wait, causing her to yell and throw a fit.
They push me through another set, and then a long hallway until we get to a room and they wheel me in, lifting me onto another bed.
They bring over machines turning them on. They touch me all over, with wires in their hands, trying to put stuff on me.
"Hey!" I breathe. "what...What are you...Doing..."
Darkness.
