Round One! Fight!

A/N: here's chapter 16 for ya guys also a quick note is that I'll be skipping straight to the tournament part of the Sports Festival since I tried to write the other events and it just came off as boring to me so that's why I'm just doing the fights in this story.

U.A Sports Festival Arena

Grimmjow walked out to the arena with a bit of a confidant walk and as he stood on the arena floor he stared at his opponent for the first round. His opponent was a male with a muscular build. The male has red eyes that were slightly pointed inwards along with a small scar just above his right eye. However his hair was the most striking thing about the male as it was a bright red colour and was spiky."You ready Kirishima"? Grimmjow asked as the now named Kirishima nodded in response as he got into his fighting stance while he replied."As ready as I'll ever be against you Grimmjow". The light blue haired male let out a chuckle as he got himself ready for the fight.

The fight began with both men charging each other with Kirishima hardening his arms as both of them punching each other in the face sending each other across the ring. Grimmjow almost immediately recovered and rushed Kirishima who also recovered very quickly and rushed Grimmjow and threw a left jab which connected with Grimmjow's jaw and then quickly followed up with a wild swinging right hook causing him to stumble, knowing that he currently had a very slim advantage Kirishima ran towards Grimmjow and then threw a roundhouse kick Grimmjow's stomach causing the light blue haired male to stumble to the ground.

In the stands

"Wow Kiri is really taking it to Grimmjow". Nel said to no one in particular as someone replied. "Kirishima is a stronger than I thought he was". Nel turned her attention to the voice to see it belonged to Momo however a more upbeat voice replied."Yeah Kirishima is super strong". Both Momo and Nel turned to the voice and saw that it belonged to Mina but a small giggle could be heard causing the three females to turn to the giggling to see it was Halibel."While I agree that Kirishima is strong, Grimmjow is just too much for him at the moment". To emphasise her point Halibel pointed to the stage

Back to Grimmjow vs Kirishima

Kirishima's feet skidded back as he held his arms in an X shape with a small amount smoke coming off of his arms."Having fun there Kirishima"? Grimmjow asked as he had a finger pointed at the red haired male."A little bit, I know that there is a massive gap in power between us but that doesn't matter! I'm gonna give it my all because that is what heroes do"! Kirishima was panting slightly as Grimmjow chuckled as a small blue light emanated around his finger as he yelled."Bala"! A small spherical energy ball shot towards Kirishima with the red haired male just about dodging the attack but Grimmjow appeared in front of him and then threw a powerful right hook and a very rapid left uppercut and finally a spinning roundhouse kick causing Kirishima to go flying and out of the ring."Kirishima is out and the winner is Grimmjow". A female with long spiky dark purple hair announced as the crowd roared in appreciation, Grimmjow smiled to himself as he walked towards Kirishima and extended a hand with the bright red haired male accepting the hand and pulling himself to his feet."Nice job man, we should a sparring match some time". Grimmjow offered as Kirishima nodded and replied."I'm down but let me get a bit stronger first".

Backstage

Grimmjow just exited the male toilets and accidently bumped into someone causing that person to fall the floor. Grimmjow looked down to see an ash blonde haired female on the floor, he noticed she had a slim yet muscular build a fairly curvaceous figure with a fair skin tone. However her most striking trait were her bright red eye ."My bad Katsumi, I should've been looking where I was walking". Grimmjow said as he extended his hand however Katsumi just clicked her tongue and stood up under her own power."Whatever Grimmjow just watch where you walk next time but you're strong right"? Katsumi questioned as Grimmjow nodded his head in response with Katsumi growing a smirk while saying."I'll see ya in the next round and show you what true power is like". Grimmjow let out a loud laugh as he replied."I look forward to it Firecracker". Katsumi looked ready to tear Grimmjow apart for that nickname but Grimmjow chuckled as he walked away from the ash blonde female while waving to her.

In the stands

"Hey girls miss me"? Grimmjow asked as he sat in between Nel and Halibel with Momo sitting next Halibel and Shiho sitting above him."That was a cool fight Grimm". Nel said with sparkles in her eyes."Thanks Nel though I just wanted to help Kirishima out really". Grimmjow replied with Shiho questioning."And how did you help him". But it was not Grimmjow that replied except it was Kirishima who replied."He didn't go all out plus he let me get my shots in while also making me show off what my quirk can do to the pro heroes". Grimmjow smiled and nodded his head as he turned his attention to the arena to see Katsumi step out and her opponent was to be Uraraka."Oh boy this won't be pretty". Grimmjow said to no one in particular.

A/N: and that concludes 16 for ya guys and hopefully ya guys enjoyed and a tiny spoiler in the next chapter we will see the first round fights of both Nel and Halibel however I just gotta think who there opponents will be.
