"It's not that hard to fly."

"Easy for you to say!" I yelled, falling back down into his arms. I made him teach me in the garden, when I learn knew things I learn the best in a peaceful and calm atmosphere. I know I can't handle the pressure but I have to live up to Zeldris's expectations. I can't let him down.

"I have to take it easy with you," my feet landed on the ground, his hands still holding onto my arms. "What makes you calm?"

"Well you do Sir Zeldris," I blinked at him, why did he start blushing. He has a soft spot for me, I can tell, he isn't as harsh on me as he is with Chandler and Cusack. "I haven't flown in years, I haven't even eaten, not that I need to."

"Maybe you need some source of energy," he tugged on my arms, making us enter the castle once again. Camelot's castle isn't in the best condition, occasionally I see leaks, broken walls and spiders. At least I haven't seen any rodents. "You up to eat?"

"Sure," I mumbled, sliding on my heels I begin to follow behind him, back into the narrow corridors. Any type of food sounds good, it's been awhile since I had something to eat. "Can I try to cook?" My eyes wandered, analyzing the large kitchen area. Marble counters with dual stoves and ovens. The cabinets seemed to be stuffed with so many foods and medicinal herbs.

"I don't care, do what you want."

"Can you help me?"

"They don't even eat," Zeldris's eyes began to twitch as the egg shells landed inside of the bowl. He didn't mean to waste them but he wasn't good with handling food. Chastity laughed at the site, he was frustrated. "Why did I even agree to this?"

Zeldris felt ridiculous, a woman nevertheless, got him to wear a pink apron that said 'Kiss the Cook'.

"You look good and plus," she reached over him, grabbing the last of the ingredients that included the sugar and chocolate chips. "You love my chocolate chip cookies." His eyes traveled down to her lips, huffing at her response.

"So you remember that too, huh?"

"Yup, it's slowly coming back to me," she smiled, watching him pick the egg shells out of the egg mixture. "Don't you think Chandler and Cusack might like them? Plus, there might be more people here that I don't know about."

"Derieri and Monspeet like them," he mumbled to himself. Why was he, the leader of the 10 commandments help make cookies for his comrades.

"Stop mumbling and make yourself useful. You said it yourself. Rule number one, never go anywhere without me," she deepened her voice, mimicking the male. "It's not like I could do this by myself anyway, you won't let me go anywhere."

"Everywhere you go you're in danger," he narrowed his eyes at Chastity, he hated leaving her out of the outside world but it had to be done. Each side wanted her to herself, he couldn't let that happen.

"Why?" She began measuring the ingredients and dumping them in small, medium sized bowls. "You never tell me anything, you say there's bad people out there but how am supposed to know that? If anything, you could be apart of the bad guys."

Zeldris slammed the bowl out of anger, couldn't she see that he was protecting her? Belialuin's daughter wanted Chastity, if Elizabeth heard of her existence she'd want to take her back with them. Ludociel would use Chastity for her power, along with the other Archangels. Her power of invulnerability and infinite energy/replenishing would give any side the automatic win of this war.

With any power there's always a catch, every month for two days, she could not use her powers at all. That's what got her trapped and that limitation was all thanks to the demon king himself. There could not be a being near his level.

"I'm just trying to protect you," his voice cracked a bit making Chastity snap out of it.

"I know that, hey... I just don't like feeling left out or in the dark about things. Sorry if I over stepped my boundaries Zeldris."

"I'll tell you when the time is right," he cracked another egg, looking at her with his black orbs. "What's rule number three?" He noticed the frown on her face.

"always smile."

Zeldris hummed, cracking another egg and putting it in the bowl. "How many fucking eggs do you even need?" This was probably near his third dozen, including the ones he dropped on the ground.

"Enough to give to everyone," Chastity shrugged, measuring the flour, with all of this space there had to be some hungry people. Hungry civilians or anything. Although Chastity had only met Chandler and Cusack, there's no way that the castle is this empty. "About the other night..." Chastity's voice dropped.

Zeldris acted as if it didn't exist, as if they hadn't kissed on her bed. It bothered her. It was all she could think about. "What about it?"

"Are we dating?" It felt rushed out, maybe she's scared of the answer she might receive. Her wings fluttered a bit in anxiousness. The idea of being his girlfriend felt strange; strangely happy. Chastity liked thinking like that, the idea of her only being his and him only being hers.

"It's complicated." Zeldris watched Chastity out the corner of his eyes. He couldn't completely fall for her, he held an obligation to the demon king to only use her. No feelings involved, he didn't want the demon king to take away his emotions. Her smile faltered at his words.

That feeling of warmth and comfort began to leave her. Complicated?

"It's either we're dating or we aren't—I never heard of complicated Zeldris."

"Just drop it."

Chastity immediately began to add all of the dry ingredients to the larger bowl. Her face held a plain expression. Her golden eyes narrowed, her energy wavering with negativity and her tattoo began to glow.

This was ridiculous to her, how could he kiss her and give her hickeys and say it was nothing. All those things, did he even mean it? His teeth gritted as he stopped cracking the eggs. "It's not you, I promise."

"I just need you to trust me."

"I do." It came out more of a question than a confident statement. Of course she felt like owed him for rescuing her but there were secrets that he kept with her. Secrets that made her feel uncomfortable, what exactly was she getting herself into?
