I had the same dream I've had for over a month now.

I woke up in the same huge room, black and white checkered floor, gray walls and 4 grand windows on both sides with black curtains. The was no furniture. I sat up in the middle of the room. I was younger maybe 10 or 11? I was wearing a gown with a sweetheart neckline, it camouflaged with the floor. My Black hair was done up in a bun, but my one strand of pure white hair was let loose dangling by my face, I was wearing a pair of glass slippers like a Cinderella, but In my hand a was squeezing a little crystal, and I wouldn't let go I held on to it like my life depended on it.

It was so quiet, but I knew it wouldn't be long unti-

The scream.

30 nights that scream still makes my skin shiver... it seemed so familiar and filled me with a hopelessness so strong I just couldn't bear it. I felt as if I knew I could do something but was too afraid. I froze not wanting to encounter whatever would make anyone scream like that. No I wouldn't move.

And then the scream simply stopped, and I heard someone fall to the floor. I scooted the the back wall and curled up it a ball, I started crying closing my eyes shut... Until I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder I looked up it was a girl, she looked exactly like me but one big difference her hair was white she had the same streak but it was black, she had the same grey eyes and almost white pale skin, she was wearing black pants and a grey trench coat. She had been crying and sat down next to me lips quivering.

“its all my fault” she said in disbelief.

I shook my head and words came out I never could control what I did in this dream it was always the same..like a memory.

“No its not you where tricked”

“If I wasn't stupid I would have never been tricked..” I hugged her.

“Just remember what she said..it’ll all get better soon” She looked up.

“Midnight...I” before I could finish I woke up.

Crap. That's all I could think, I fell asleep in Mrs.Jones English class. She had slammed her ruler on my desk, and boy was she mad. I wasn't wearing the gown anymore, I was wearing knee length black Shorts? Or jeans? never knew what to call them. A loose Navy blue blouse and Black ankle boots. My hair was in a side braid but the white streak was in the same position as it was in the bun.

“Midnight Shadowspire! Could you tell me what I just said?” She crossed her arms and impatiently tapped her foot.

“umm..ah..” I looked at the bored and noticed something “ You where talking about umm summer reading assignments?” She nodded and I knew I got it right, she went back up to the board.

“So! by the next semester all you delinquents should have finished at least 1! and write an 200 paged essay about it!” She keeps on talking but I just zoned her out, a couple kids behind me where grinning at me stupidly falling asleep, just can't get over the fact whenever that girl started that very sentence something woke me up, I never know what she had to say.

The rest of the school day went on as usual, everyone kept talking about going to their parent country club or going to Hawaii or something fun over the summer, Me? At least I’m not alone few of my friends are in the same position, boring old parents that keep telling them there's a lot to do in our little town of Brookshore in good old North Carolina. Well in my case its my grandpa but that's not getting me plane tickets to London or something right? Though that doesn't mean he hangs out much, always on business trips and we still can't come along.

It doesn't bother my brother though, no hes good with spending summer on his computer or some video game he will find. Nope doesn't bother him at all.

I Slammed my locker door and there he stood. Just great what I needed. He had the same black hair as me and grey eyes, but he had that face that made you think he was always up to something, that he never told you the whole truth. He grinned the same grin he would have when I was little and hid under my sheets because of the lightning, same grin he would have when he would tell me scary stories at night to freak me out, same grin that still always comforted me, knowing I still had family that cared about me left in the world.

“Hello Midnight” He took the box I was holding filled with a bunch of my stuff.

“Hey Amaro” I shouldered my backpack after handing it to him, we started walking outside, a lot of people already left so the school was mostly empty, he put my box next to his outside by a bench.

“Late again?” I asked he nodded.

“Might be traffic?” he shrugged.

“Yeah....Traffic right” Truth is they're is barely any traffic here, its just a town filled with a bunch of people who had a bunch of money, that instead of using cars to go to work they would take month long business trips in private Jets. Sure yeah traffic. It sure was frustrating having to wait this long, he was always late. You think you'd get used to it but every day you would just get even more mad.

I sat down frustrated, and Amaro took a seat next to me. Even though he liked to freak me out at times, he always cared for me. He was extremely popular this year but he always sat with me and my 10th grade friends at lunch. He was a senior going to college next year, though of course he wasn't going out of town, going to the local college. Though school next year would be different I would have no one to really help me out with.. alright it is embarrassing to depend on my brother to defend me against annoying flirts, but this year it drove me mad plain mad. Wasn't for him don't think it would have ever stopped. Though next year I bet it'll start up again... Next year all I can think about school without my brother.

After about half an hour, the car pulled up, one of my grandfathers white Lincoln. We got in and the driver Jeffrey turned back to us looking apologetic.

“Sorry kids, old man needed me for a few errands” the he turned back and started driving.

“Yeah, his two grand kids just another thing on his shopping list” I muttered and they both frowned I could tell though its what it feels like every day of my life.

When I was 10, My parents died in an accident so me and my brother came to live here with my grandfather. But Jeffery's basically the one who raised up my grandfather barley really checks in with us with our everyday lives..

Ive always felt alone, except for Amaro and Jeffry they where my only family.
