“What do you mean?” I said while sitting down, he sighed and looked like he was struggling with words.
“Midnight, I think its best if you get your memories back on your own..”
“What Memories? You said to come at 11:00 and against better judgment here I am, just explain a little..” All this was bothering me what was I missing? What memories? I remember every dreadful meaningful day of my life.. How can I miss something as big as, as all of this?
He sighed and sat down across me “They'll come back when the times right..I mean you remembered my name” he gave a little smile,
“I thought you said you where Jack Frost” I grinned.
He laughed, a soft low laugh “Well..just first person to pop into my head.. haven't seen him ever myself though but yo-”
“Wait your telling me Jack Frost is real?” The idea just reminded me of the cold evil villain from an old fairy book series I used to read, the villain in Christmas movies.. and mischief Angel.
“Sure is, one of the few kings from your world that the humans recognize, it is against the rules. They're supposed to know nothing about you. But honestly he acts like a 15 year old he's aweosome” All of these things he’s talking about so casually. Does he even know what he’s saying?!
“Whoa whoa whoa! Slow down a little, King? My world??” He nodded.
“Ever wonder what happened to that little Winter kids parents? Her mother died when she was really young.. she is an only child, her father was Jack he didn't make it through with all of you..” I had a hard time processing what he’s saying, Winter, our Winter is Jack frosts daughter..
“You’ve got to be kidding me” I said under my breath.
“Element of Frost and Snow, She’s the princess, only princess of that Element sadly” Something told me this was all the truth I believed it, it wasn't shocking me as much as I thought it would.
“So.. you're telling me, that me and a bunch of people here are from another world?? With monarchies and stuff like that?” He shrugged.
“Basically, you where all..well how do I explain this” He took a deep breath.
“You all where against someone, someone really really awful, you especially, it took away everything from you plopped you in this hell of a world with a false life, took away your parents made you watch..” He shook his head “But here it makes you think it was a car accident, it took away your sister, tormented her used her against you” I stopped him they're.
“My.. my sister? I have a sister??”
“Midnight hear me out first” I nodded and he kept talking but still..I had a sister.
“She took everyone she could and put them in this hell, some people have glimpses of their past but they shake them off like dreams.. a lot like you do, your grandfather he remember so did many of your parents around here.. that's why they left I can't tell you more about that now though” I gulped..all of this was so much and it felt so true I couldn't deny it.. but i've had an question in my head ever since he mentioned Winter..
“If they're are Elements.. and Winter is snow..what am I?” He looked at me straight in the eyes and grinned.
And in a grand voice like he was introducing me to an audience “Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Midnight Shadowspire, Princess of Magic and Night and..” he whispered “The dangerous Halfling”
