"Excuse me sir?" A doctor called out.

Matt stretched and put his head up. It was night now. Or at least it was darker. "Hi." Matt said with a smile.

His smile quickly faded as he realized the doctor most likely couldn't see him.

The doctor motioned for Matt to come out into the hall. He looked over at Jess to see if she was sleeping, but then again it was too dark to tell.

Matt stood and went into the hallway where there were lights so he could see what this doctor actually looked like. And where he was going. Seeing where he was going was more important since he almost tripped whilst getting up.

"So, I wanted to ask, after miss Jessica is out of here, will you be staying with her?" The doctor asked.

Matt took a breath as he thought. "I'm not sure." Matt replied truthfully. The doctor nodded.

"Well, if you aren't staying with her, could you just check on her frequently? To make sure she's healing alright?"

Matt nodded to the doctor and sighed. "When do you think she'll be good to go?" Matt asked.

The doctor took a breath and put his hand on his nose.

"It's hard to tell. Her knees were very wounded. One of them almost had the bone sticking out of it. She was very lucky that wasn't the case. She also broke some of her ribs which means she may still have trouble standing." The doctor replied.

Matt nodded and waited to hear a number but the doctor was done talking. "Would you think- a few more days at least?" Matt asked.

The doctor sighed and nodded his head. "Three at the least." The doctor said. Matt nodded as he propped himself against the wall.

"Alright then. Thank you." Matt said. The doctor once again nodded as he began walking away.

Matt got away from the wall and then began walking back into Jess's room to sleep again. So I have three days to tell her what's going on? Great. Matt shook his head as he found his chair and took a seat.

He cursed himself for not speaking sooner but then shortly fell back asleep.

An hour had passed since Mike and Sam had arrived at the mountain itself. They still needed to hike a bit before actually reaching the lodge and Mike's truck.

"How are you holding up?" Sam asked as she turned around to see Mike slightly panting as he made his way up the mountain. "Fine. Fine."

Sam giggled to herself as she turned back around and continued climbing. It did seem like it was way longer a climb then it had been.

Sam made a few more steps in front of her and saw that the mountain was curving up. "Hey Mike, we're almost there." Sam said as she pointed to the curve.

"Uh huh." Mike continuously said as Wolfie was already waiting for the pair to join him.

Sam made it up first and held her hand out for Mike to take to pull himself up.

At first he waved her off but then realized he needed the help and took it, pulling himself where Sam stood.

"Thank you." Mike said in between breaths. Sam chuckled as she stood next to Mike for a minute while he caught his breath.

He took a few breaths, then one deep breath and straightened himself up. "Wasn't that hard." Mike said. Sam shoved him playfully as the two started walking towards the exploded cabin that stood in front of them.
