When we all hit puberty, there is a good chance you will get acne! They are made from increased levels of testerone, and is the result of your pores being blocked by sebum oil & bacteria. Those horrible spots that never seem to go away. Here are ways to cure/prevent acne!
Some people have acne running through their family genes, so they may get an excessive amount, and for others it's barely there! If both your parents had acne as a teen you will most likely get it at a younger age, and if they have/had it as adults then you most likely will too.
Acne can also start to form 10 days before your PMS.
You can get 3 forms of acne:
Blackheads:
Diet:
The foods you eat contribute to how much acne you have, because some foods wash away toxins and others give your more hormones.
Avoid using plastic tapeware because, plastic increases the amount of hormones produced: This results in more acne. And it's actually bad to use when heated...
Try eating...
Almonds, watermelon, green tea, oranges, carrots, spinach, figs & whole grains (wheat; cornflakes, oats etc.) And other healthy food!
Also drink your 1 litre a day (or more!) because water is great for getting rid of the toxins in your body, it's also refreshing, and replenished your skin!
Eat vegetables with high water content e.g. cucumbers, these vegetables help coil and calm inflammation.
Eat vitamin A for example sweet potatoes and carrots. Also, eat good containing Zinc, it has the ability to control the release of hormones. Seafood, meat and nuts all contain zinc.
Dark chocolate works as an antioxidant by shielding skin from damage and making your skin more healthy.
Eat Omega 3 Fatty acidic food. Such as walnuts, avocados, flatseeds etc. This helps control the production and build up of sebum
Avoid...Artifical sugar, because this could increase your acne level depending on if your prone to acne. Sweets have this sugar, natural sugar from fruit however are good for you.
Excessive amounts of carbohydrates because, they increase breakout rates. So, cut back on white rice, pasta white bread etc.
Don't eat too much herbs and spices because they may aggravate the acne.
Avoid drinking alcohol, smoking and taking drugs they are harmful to your health and affect your body internally and externally.
Hygiene:Wash your face daily with a gentle face wash, and wash your face with a mild face wash 1-2 times a week to prevent further breakouts and irritation.
Especially if you work with oily jobs for example: fast food restaurant or a gas station.
Wash your face after excersicing too.
Gently exfoliate with a face wash, to get rid of clogged pores.
Do not...
Scrub your face with a loofah to exfoliate. It irritates your skin more, making the acne worse!
Wash in the morning,; Instead, wash your face at night because, your natural sebum oil produces overnight. And by washing in the morning you'll strip them away, leaving your skin dry. So, wash with a gentle soap at night and just wash with water in the morning.
Apply toothpaste to your face; don't do it because the fluoride and other UN-natural ingredients may irritate the skin. Even though, it may also dry out the spots, it does trigger acne.
Do...
Reduce pimple size and redness by: placing ice over it for a minute. No longer than that otherwise you may irritate your skin!!
Make-Up
The makeup products you use can affect your acne, either by making them worse or by hiding them.Use powder foundation to hide you acne, this will suck up the oils from your face and also hide them!
Use concealer to hide the redness of your acne.
Make sure to use makeup which say that they are noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic, products that are labeled with these are better for your skin, they won't clog your pores or worsen the acne.
Make sure to wash off all the make up on your face! Take time to remove it all, before you go to bed.
If you use hair gels or hairsprays make sure you keep them away from contact with your skin, since they air greasy and oily.
Keep your hair off your fave of it's long and wash it more often. Don't touch your face all the time either!
Skin care
Wear sunscreen when you're out, the inflammation from suburbs can make your acne worse.Use noncomedogenic products to moisturize for example. They're better for acne.
Other tips
Get more sleep. By lacking sleep you increase your stress by 14% for every hour of sleep you lose. Which increases glucocorticoid production so skin structure & function is affected.Exercise, it helps reduce stress and increases blood circulation which means more oxygen is carried to your skin cells and cell waste is taken away!
Your phone can produce multiple germs daily, and then you touch your face... So, everyday in the morning wipe your phone with a little hand sanitizer to kill some of them evil organisms!
If you have hair products that contain oil try applying them before you wash your face, so if any of the unnecessary oils went on your face you can wash it off.
I hope this helped you guys! It took time to make because, I did a lot of research! I also uploaded an intro video for my YouTube so go check it out and subscribe!
