Summary: Annabeth is from Jupiter Academy in California and hates the fact that there's student exchange between Half-Blood Academy and Jupiter Academy due to past rivalries with the golden boy; Percy Jackson. So when the selected group from the school included Percy, Annabeth couldn't hate her life anymore. It doesn't help that Annabeth is the student ambassador helping Percy with this whole "getting used to" to California and the school. And not to mention, the (horrid) pick-up-lines Percy keeps telling her. Annabeth doesn't know how she is going to survive these two weeks with him. And maybe, just maybe, she gets a little more than she hoped for.

no swearing (I think.)

Annabeth thought this was dumb. The whole idea was dumb, an student exchange between two schools that had a rival history? Dumb. Jupiter Academy and Half-Blood Academy were rivals in... well, everything. From sports to academics, both schools were competitive. And though both schools had made up last year, the students still had a grudge against each other. This was the second year of the student exchange and during the assembly, they had promised that they would treat the student from the exchange with respect despite the history. Last year, it almost ended with a disaster but didn't; prompting the schools for year two.

Speaking of grudges, the reason Annabeth has a hatred for student exchange is that last year, she was one of the students chosen to go to Half-Blood Academy. It was a good experience and time for her, she always wanted to go to New York City to see the architecture. But, a fellow named Percy Jackson had made her go insane.

Percy Jackson was a rival of hers from sports and academics. Percy and she could never just let the other win, it was always him or her. And Annabeth wanted it to be her. So the competitiveness never ended even after the sports and academics competition.

"I wondered who this year's group is going to be," Said Piper, snapping Annabeth out her thoughts, "Hope Jason is coming."

Jason Grace. Another golden boy in Half-Blood Academy along with Jackson. Grace was okay in her books, mainly because he was her best friend, Piper,'s boyfriend. Annabeth thought that Jason was perfect... too perfect, always obliged by the rules and not to mention that his hair isn't even affected by the wind. Unbelievable. Annabeth secretly thinks that he is like some Roman god.

"Yeah, you haven't seen him since last year." Said Annabeth as she picked with her lunch, "Only FaceTiming and texting?"

Piper grimaced and nodded, "We hadn't spoken to each other since summer, ugh, I hate this no-phone policy."

Piper and Jason were doing this long-distance relationship from California and New York. It was actually good despite the circumstances of a long-distance relationship. The two met last year during the student exchange and everybody was betting that they would end up together. But of course, when school came, they had stopped talking to each other due to no phone policy (Annabeth thinks it's a dumb rule too) and havoc that the beginning of the school year begins.

"Hm, me too."  Said Annabeth as she ate a piece of her salad, half-heartedly.

"Are you okay?" Asked Piper as she furrowed her eyebrows and placed her hands on Annabeth's shoulder.

"I don't even know I was chosen for this whole thing." Said Annabeth as she slumped down.

Annabeth was chosen to be a student ambassador after Hazel begged her to apply for it. Annabeth didn't think any of it and thought she would probably be rejected but when the letter arrived at her home, Annabeth almost had a heart attack.

"Aw Annie, not be so down. There is probably a reason why they picked you." Said Piper as she comforted Annabeth.

"Like what?" Said Annabeth to challenge Piper with her eyebrows raised.
