twenty-three blue cookies !

IT was cloudy outside and, it might rain, from the looks of it in his apartment bedroom window in upper Manhattan. Percy sat, groggily from last night's sleep, and removed his blankets. It didn't affect Percy at all since he was in lockdown anyways though he wouldn't have minded a little bit of sunshine on his twenty-third birthday day.

He looked next to him, to where Annabeth's sleeping body should be but, it was just a bunch of blankets scrunched up together. Percy furrowed his eyebrows and thought, where could Annabeth have gone?

If it was as answering his question, the door opened, and he saw his amazing girlfriend- Annabeth Chase, who was wearing a baby blue apron and was carrying a tray of food. His eyes widened and tilted his head in question.

"Happy Birthday, Seaweed Brain." Exclaimed Annabeth, walking over to the bed. "I made you some breakfast in bed!"

Percy laughed and watched as Annabeth carefully sat down on the bed with the tray. "You didn't have to!"

Annabeth rolled her eyes and smiled. "Of course, I have to! You're turning twenty-three today, I didn't even know if we would make it to twenty-three!"

That made Percy smile and, he shrugged. "Thank you, Wise Girl, for everything."

Annabeth put down the tray on the bed and, she didn't say anything besides, leaning over to kiss Percy. Percy cupped Annabeth's face and tilted her head a little bit further, causing Annabeth to move and shrieked.

"Percy! The pancakes!"

Percy chuckled and watched the tray of pancakes covered in maple syrup touch their bedsheets, staining their white covers with sticky, sweet sauce. Annabeth whined and buried her head in her hands.

"I'm so sorry, Perc!" Said Annabeth. "The pancakes are ruined!"

"Annie, don't worry," Said Percy, pulling Annabeth into a hug. "It's alright"

"It isn't! The day is already ruined!" Cried out, Annabeth. She buried her head into Percy's shoulder. "I wish we could just go to the beach like last year."

Annabeth had surprised Percy last year for his birthday with a surprise birthday at the beach. It was one of his memorable birthdays besides his sixteen birthday- he would always remember the underwater kiss that he shared with Annabeth.

"Me too." Agreed Percy. "But, it's fine- we have each other."

"Mhm." Mumbled Annabeth.

They stay like that for a couple of minutes as the maple syrup drips down their bedsheets, embracing each other in the silence that when two people understand each other.

"You know," Said Percy. "You look cute in that apron."

He could feel Annabeth chuckled softly against his shoulder and, Annabeth unwrapped herself from Percy's arms. She sat back down on the bed and sighed.

"We better wash the blankets before the ants decided to visit." Said Annabeth, getting up along with Percy.

"Yeah, we better." Said Percy, grabbing the blankets. "What about the pancakes?"

"Sadly," Annabeth began. "We have to throw-"

"I can still eat it!" Exclaimed Percy. "Please!"

"No, Perc." Said Annabeth, groaning. "It's not clean."

Percy pouted. "You can't just let some good pancakes go to the waste."

Annabeth grabbed the stack of pancakes in her hands and looked at Percy. "Percy, I love you to death- literally but you can't eat the pancakes- I will remake you some new one."
