After walking about half a mile, we reached an amazing, white mansion with a long driveway leading up to it. The suspicious stranger opened the door. "Dandy's home!" An older woman shouted as she entered into the foyer from the kitchen.
"His name is Dandy? How surprising." I thought to myself.
"Oh! And who is this beautiful young lady?" The woman asked.
"Mother, this is... What is your name again?" He looked at me, appearing very displeased, like it's my fault that he didn't ask my name earlier. "Bonnie, Bonnie Lipton." I replied, trying to act as sophisticated as this family.
"Hello Bonnie, you can call me Gloria. I w-" She was suddenly cut off by Dandys voice. "Bonnie and I are going up to my playroom now." His mother just nodded.
He yanked me by the wrist and pulled me upstairs. I was actually a little curious to see what exactly is in a 20-something year old mans 'playroom'.
I was quite surprised when I saw. There was a patch of grass in the middle of the room for croquet, giant stuffed animals in every corner of the room, a large toy box, and on the far wall, a very large marionette stage. "Now, that we're here, what do you think?" He said with a big joyful smile; much different from the devious smirk that was on his face earlier that day.
"It's very nice, it looks like you have plenty to keep you entertained." I said, trying to keep a pleasant conversation.
"Nothing here can entertain me when I'm alone. I need someone to share it with, that's why you're here." We were both silent for a moment, then Dandy spoke up once again. "So, what do you want to do? We could play a board game, or I could show you my marionettes, or a game of croquet?"
"A board game is cool I guess."
"Okay! I'll get the chutes and ladders game!"
I began thinking. This man is at least in his 20s, and he gets this excited about playing Chutes and ladders? It all seemed a little odd.
We played a few times, because each game only took a few minutes. I must admit, he was kind of, cute. Every time he won, he would get so excited, like a little kid.
