"Run!" William's voice echoed through the woods as he fought off the fast and strong man chasing me.
I continued to run, just like William told me to, until I finally reached a clearing in the forest. Seeing the light from the parking lot where Lucas parked his car penetrated the leaves.
"Finally," I mumbled in a sigh of relief as I continued to run, though the sound of the fighting behind me had stopped.
"Finn!" someone yelled just by the edge of the forest where the penetrating lights came from, "Finn!" the yelling continued as the branches snapping from under me caught their attention.
From the source of the lights came Lucas running up to me as Sarah and the others stayed by their car, having heard that there was a man about to kill us in the abandoned house.
"Are you ok?" Lucas frantically asked before he ran into the edge of the forest, looking up to see how the bushes and trees around had been crushed or severely hurt by something large hitting them.
"Let's get out of here!" said Lucas as he opened the car door for me, waiting to see that Michael drove off with Sarah and Samuel to the closest hospital. "What happened out there?" asked Lucas as he drove out of the parking lot, while I looked out the window to see William standing by the edge of the forest, still alive and checking to see that I was ok.
"There's another vampire" I mumbled as I continued to look out the window, assuring me that we weren't followed by the edge of the forest. "Wait what?" asked Lucas, as he struggled to keep his focus towards the road.
I sat in silence. I wanted him to process what I said before I explained it once more. "There's another vampire" I said once more, seeing as how he gave me a confused look before he got onto the main road and drove past the cinema and the tiny mall Everton had.
"Did you see him?" asked Lucas as he pulled up next to the ice cream parlor I visited the first time I was here, "Yes" I replied and dug around my pockets, trying to find money to hopefully get some ice cream to calm myself down a little.
"What did it look like?" asked Lucas as he acknowledged my interest in ice cream and turned off the car engine and grabbed his keys and wallet. "Large, scruffy and he wore a leather jacket" I replied and looked into his eyes, "Was there anything else?" asked Lucas as he started back into my eyes.
"His eyes were red as blood" I replied as the thought of his eyes sent shivers down my spine. "Ok" said Lucas to my response and texted his father about my discovery, "let's go and get you some ice cream now" he added as he slid his phone down his front pocket and left the car.
Lucas was quick to close his door and run over so he could open the car door for me, like the gentlemen that he was, and even opened the parlor door for me.
"Hello little bro!" said Marcus from behind the counter and threw around some ice-cream scoopers, putting up a brief show for the few costumers to enjoy. "Hey Mark" said Lucas as he sat down by the counter, getting me a chair right beside him.
"What's up?" asked Marcus as he cleaned the counter and grabbed himself a clean scooper to use. "We just..." said Lucas unsure and looked to me for answers, "We're on a date" I shrugged as I looked back to see the pleased look Lucas had on his face after I said that.
"Well then, I'm honored to be the server for this special occasion" replied Marcus with a bright smile on his face as he grabbed us both a small paper cups to take our orders.
Lucas blushed a little as he looked up at the menu board to find out what he wanted to eat, while I acted like I did as well, but in reality knowing exactly what I wanted.
