Chapter 12 - The Weekend part b

"C'mon boys... let's start the practice again," Yue said, clapping her hands to call the boys in the hall, but no response.

"Boys?" She called again, and still... no responses so far.

Her brows furrowed, "Where are they?"

All of them just finished their lunch on that day, and she's just excused herself to rest for half an hour before she went back to the hall to practice with the boys, but she couldn't find them everywhere.

She just wanted to find them outside when she suddenly heard a commotion from the living room, there was some laughter, some whines, and some screams, all at once.

What the hell is that? —she thought.

She then walked towards the living room, and then she saw him, Dylan and the boys were sitting on the floor, forming a circle, while holding their respective phones.

She frowned, what are they doing?

"Boys..." she called them again, louder this time, and they immediately turned their heads towards her, all of them, "Yes, Jie?" Zishan responded.

"What are you doing? C'mon... we should start our practice again,"

He grinned, "We just played with Di Ge, mobile legends. He's so good at it. I am on his team, so we won. But Pengyuan... he lost... hahahahaha..." he laughed out loud while PengYuan only rolled his eyes in annoyance.

Zishan raised his hand to do a high five with Dylan, then their hands meet and produced a loud sound, and they grimaced in pain after. "We're too happy." He laughed.

Yue shook her head, —boys...— she thought before she clapped her hands, "Okay... okay... enough for the rest, let's practice again."

"Yes, Jie..."

All of them then stood up, ready to follow her when suddenly YanYan ran towards them with tears all over her face.

Dylan kneeled in front of her, "YanYan? What happens?" He gently asked, stroking her hair to calm her, "Chewy is gone." She sobbed, "I couldn't find her everywhere."

"Chewy? Who is chewy?" Yue asked,

"Her kitten," Dylan responded before he turned towards YanYan, "Calm down, okay. We will try to find her. Where was the last time you saw her?"

"I... I just went to the toilet for a while, then when I came back to the dining room, she's gone."

Dylan nodded, "Okay... okay... let's try to find her." He then turned towards all the boys, "All of you, let's find her kitten, okay."

"Yes, Ge." They answered him in unison.

And all of them were trying to find Chewy all over the orphanage.

15 minutes later, they still couldn't find her. All of them had already tried to find her in every place, in the bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, even the bathrooms, but there's no sign of her everywhere.

They even tried to find her in the backyard, but still, there's no sign of her.

Until...

Yue suddenly heard a soft mew from the small storeroom at the backyard. She then entered the storeroom and turned on the light, and then she saw her, Chewy. Closing the door, she then took a step forward before she bent down her body, ready to catch her when suddenly, there was a thunder of lightning and then darkness immediately engulfed the room as the light was suddenly off.
