Chapter 13 - The Weekend Part c

"Broken?!" He exclaimed, "But how come?"

Lian Xin bit her lips nervously, "Uhm... I don't know... Maybe... because of the rocky road and it stuck between them before it's broken."

Yu Zheng took a deep breath and sighed, then he looked towards her face without saying any word.

"What? Do you want to say something like 'I've told you so?' to me?" She then pursed her lips and waited for his words. He did tell her before that she should wear her more comfortable shoes, but she ignored his words, and now she felt like he really wanted to say those words. The 'I've told you so' words. So she waited for him to advise her like he usually did, acting like a big brother to her.

But the thing that happened later was beyond her expectation.

He patted her head tenderly and smiled, "I won't say something like that. I just want to ask, are you okay? The fall was quite hard, i think. Are you okay? You didn't sprain your ankle right? Are you injured somewhere? Are—"

He stopped talking and stunned when suddenly, a single tear fell from her eyes, then another tear, then another tear, until her eyes were brimming with tears.

"Eh?! Why are you crying? Is it so painful?" He worriedly asked, "Where? Where does it hurt? Where?" He asked again, worried evident at his face.

She looked towards his worried face for a few seconds before she then covered her face with her hands and sobbed. Her shoulders trembled, as she began to cry louder.

She sobbed again, as she was unable to hold her feeling any longer that day.

Why are you so nice to me, Ge? Why are you so kind? How could I forget you if you're being like this? How could I move on? Why don't you behave like an ass? Why don't you behave like a jerk? Why are you like this?

She kept on sobbing...

In our games before, do you know that it hurts me so much? That you still remembered everything about me. That you know what I hate the most from you. That you know what I like the most from you.

It hurts me. It makes me think that you still love me while you're not. It makes me think that you still have a little feeling for me while in fact, you're not. You have moved on. You have succeeded to forget me. You have succeeded to unlove me.

She sobbed again.

Meanwhile with Yu Zheng, seeing her trembling and sobbing in front of him, his heart in a wrench. If only he could do the thing his heart wanted, he wanted so bad to embrace her and let her cry in his arms. He wanted so badly to hug her, caressing her, while trying to calm her. To ease her pain. Because he thought that he might scare her. Because he remembered that she felt so much uncomfortable when he touched her before.
