(Brittany's POV)
2 weeks later, City Lights
It has been 2 weeks since Santana and I went out that one night. We had such an amazing time. I needed to keep her mind off of the whole situation with Celeste. And I think I did a pretty amazing job. Since then she has been feeling a lot better. Yeah she still has some tough nights but other than that she's doing a lot better. Celeste did a number on her feelings. And I was going to be their to piece them back together.
It was now 1:00. The dancers had just gone through the new routine. It was easy so they caught on fast. We were all currently on a five minute break. I was sitting on the floor with Sam and Santana.
"Wait so Santana almost fought someone?" Sam asked leaning back on his hands. I giggled and shook my head. Santana nodded and brushed her shoulders off cockily.
Flashback 2 weeks ago, Outsiders
We were sitting at the bar talking about everything from dance routines to our families. I was really enjoying this night so far. I was in the middle of laughing at one of Santana's jokes when I felt an arm wrap around my waist.
"H-hey babe"
I turned around to see a nasty, sweaty, drunk man standing behind me. I've never felt more uncomfortable in my life. "H-hey where a-are you going?" She slurred. I could smell the vodka on his breath from here. I looked over at Santana who had the biggest scowl on her face. I know that if I was on the other end of it, I would have holes burned through me.
"I-uhm I am not your 'babe'." he just laughed. "Sure you are." He gave me this creepy smirk. Now I was really starting to get uncomfortable. Santana must have noticed because when I was about to speak again she stepped in front of me.
"Sir" she started followed with this sarcastic laugh. "I will give you 5 seconds to get out of my sight." She stepped closer. "I don't know who you think you are, but my girl brittz here doesn't want your nasty, sweaty, drunk man body all over her, and neither do I. So please do yourself a favor and walk away, a'forz I go all Lima heights on your sorry ass." I stood there wide eyed. I really would not want to be that dude at the moment. But at the same time, her getting mad like this is a big turn on. He looked at her a stumbled back a bit.
"What a-re you two? L-like lesbians?" That seemed to fuel Santana's rage even more. She took another step forward and lifted her hand as if she was about to slap him into another country. I quickly grabbed her wrist with one hand and her waist with the other, pulling her backwards.
"Woah calm down, it's okay San." She turned around and faced me. We were really close. Like if I would have taken a step forward our noses would touch. Too soon Brittany, too soon.
Her body was tensed still. Her jaw was clenched tight and she was avoiding eye contact with me. I let go of her wrist and let it fall down to her side. She crossed her arms, still avoiding my eyes. I brought my hands up and rubbed up and down her arms.
"Hey" she still didn't look at me. I dipped my head down to catch her eyes. "It's okay, San." I assured. It really wasn't a big deal. But for some reason to her, it was. I wonder why?
She finally looked at me. It was like as soon as her eyes met mine she immediately calmed down. Her shoulders fell back to their original place and her jaw unclenched. She looked into my eyes. And for a moment, I could have sworn I saw her eyes flicker to my lips.
