(Brittany's POV)
I looked at her in disbelief. I mean she had to of been kidding, right? No this had to of been a joke. Everything had been going so smoothly. Everything was literally fucking perfect. Of course some stupid shit like this had to happen.
The anger inside of me rose. If I had a thermometer in my mouth my temperature would have broken it. Celeste. That name made me want to punch someone. I wanted to kick her ass for everything she has done to my family. I looked Santana in the eyes. She almost looked apologetic. It's not her fault her ex is a fucking lunatic. And it won't be her fault when I'm in jail, for killing this bitch.
"Brittany I know what your thinking bu-" Quinn was cut off by me sprinting through the hospital doors.
"Fuck!" I heard Santana yell from behind me. I heard her chasing behind but I wasn't going to stop for anybody. But then I remembered, I don't know where she is. But you know who probably does? Santana. I stopped sprinting and turned around once I got to the front doors. Santana was out of breath behind me.
"Brittany please"
I held my hands up in defeat, but I was far from giving up. She let out a puff of air. "Come on, lets calm down." She went to drag me back to Quinn's room, but I grabbed the phone out of her hands and sprinted out of the door. She was probably going to kill me but I didn't care.
I quickly unlocked the phone and dialed the unknown number back. It almost immediately picked up.
"Hello? Santana thank god you called me back. I'm behind that cafe on Front street. In the ally way. Please hurry."
That's all I needed to know. And funny enough, I was just about to round the corner on front street. I hung up the phone and sprinted faster than ever. I knew Santana wasn't anywhere near me anymore. I stopped running when I saw the sign to the small diner. I walked around the building quickly. Once I got into the ally way I saw a certain light brunette leant up against the brick wall. Her face shot up at the sound of my footsteps, probably expecting to see my girlfriend. Her demeanor quickly changed. Now that I was seeing her face to face I couldn't control the smoke form spewing out of my ears. She went to turn around but I sprinted up to her. She didn't get pretty far or run very fast, it looked like her leg was hurt. Probably from the car accident. I easily caught up to her and grabbed the collar of her jacket. I grabbed it with so much force she almost fell on top of me. I slammed her against the brick wall, practically towering over her.
"Bri-"
Before she could finish I lifted her off the wall and slammed her back against it once more.
"Don't fucking say anything!" I yelled. She was scared. I could tell, but she still had enough cockiness in her to put a devilish smirk on her face.
"What are you gonna do? Kill me? I sure Santana would love that."
My anger grew at the mention of Santana's name. She was really going to bring her up after everything?! I didn't know what I was doing but before I knew it my fist was clenching, about to give this girl the shiner she deserves.
"Britt stop!"
I whipped my head around to see Santana running up the ally way. That gave Celeste enough time to knee me in the stomach and attempt to push me away. I huffed at the action but tightened my grip on her collar. I slammed her against the wall and connected my fist right against her jaw. I went to go in for more but Santana wrapped her arms around my waist and attempted to pull me back.
"Brittany please stop she's not worth it!"
As soon as I heard the tone in Santana's voice I let go of the girls collar. Just as I did Puck was running down the ally way. Santana must have had Quinn call him.
I was panting. It felt like the walls around me were caving in. What the hell was I doing? Why did I do this? So many questions flooding my brain. I felt sorry. Not for Celeste, but for Santana. Quinn.
They were scared. Santana's grip didn't let go. I turned around and faced her. She had a look of disappointment and relief. It seemed as if I couldn't catch my breath. I put my hands on the back of my head.
It was silent. I think everyone was just in shock. Celeste was still hunched up against the wall. I took a few steps in her direction before both Santana and Puck grabbed me.
"Guys" I turned around and gave them a look of reassurance. They looked at me skeptically but let me go. I walked over and crouched down to meet the girl at eye level.
"Hurt my family again, and it will be worse." I said in a dark tone. I have no idea where it came from. I was angry.
I stood up and pushed past Puck and Santana. I needed to get out of that ally way. Quinn is probably worried sick. As I was walking down the street back to the hospital my hand started throbbing. I looked down at my knuckles that were now a light shade of purple. My whole body was shaking. I brought them up to my face to look at them closer. I ran my fingers across my knuckles and winced at the pain. Right as I looked up I was standing outside the hospital.
You know the feeling you got when you did something wrong at school and you know the principal is gonna call your mom? That anxiety you get deep in your chest? Well that was currently happening as I stood outside the hospital door containing a certain blonde. I was fucking nervous to say the least. But finally I built up enough confidence to walk in. Quinn was sat on her bed. It looked like she was just staring at nothing. Her eyes shot up when I walked in.
"Brittany!" I smiled. She didn't seem upset, but relieved. She motioned for me to come over there. I walked and stopped in front of her. She gave me a warm smile right before fucking slapping me square in the face. I let out a loud shriek at the sudden stinging feeling rippling along my head. "What the he-" she grabbed my collar and pulled me down so I was eye level with her. I could literally feel her breathing heavy on my face.
"If you ever scare me like that again I will do a lot more than a slap." Her voice was dark. It actually scared me. She only used that tone when she was really mad. Her voice was laced with the slightest bit of relief as well. She let go and pulled me into a tight hug. I winced when my hand hit the side of her body. She pulled back and grabbed my arm to inspect the swollen knuckles.
"Britt..you didn't."
I looked down at my feet. I felt ashamed. I'm normally a really nice person. I guess when it comes to family I just lose my cool. She could obviously tell I did something and let out a sigh.
"Britt that could have ended really badly. You could be in jail right now." She shook her head with her hazel eyes closed. I gnawed at my bottom lip before speaking up.
"I'm not though." I wanted to sound optimistic but it felt impossible. She sighed once more and met my eyes.
"How do you think Santana is going to handle all of this?"
With that sentence I let out a shaky breath. If I wasn't scared before, I sure as hell was now.
