Work is a pain in the ass right now. I've been here since 7:00am and it's currently 12:00am. I've been looking at files to see if any patients have had any improvements. They're too many patients and not enough of them showing improvement. Just recently I got a new patient, a rape victim who is having trouble recovering. The name is Caden Gladstein. Haven't had the chance to set a schedule because she refuses to come in.
I've recently talked to her guardian over the phone, saying she needs to come in if she wishes to move on from the past. It is difficult to forget. Here at the facility we try our best to make them forget. I, however, think that we should not make them forget, but help them move on from what's happened and carry on with their lives. That is part of the reason why this facility is failing.
Her guardian suggested I come to them instead of coming to me. I figured why not, let's give it a shot. That was my first priority tomorrow morning. An hour has passed leaving me six hours of sleep until work again tomorrow. I loved the fact that I have the opportunity to help others, but sometimes I'm just busting my ass too much for them.
I always end up working overtime, but it's okay because I only live 15 minutes away from work. I still own a car when I need to make trips, but other than that I don't travel much. At least for now. I'm saving up money to travel the world, part of the reason why I work so much.
I sorted all my files, grabbed my coat, and locked up my office. It was icy cold out and dark. There were very few street lamps around this area. There's an ice cream shop I pass by every night, every now and then I walk in to get a scoop or two.
"Hi Calum, Mikey. I'll have the usual." I smile, getting out some cash.
"Hey, what's up Luke!" They say in unison. I guess I you can say I come here quite often. The three of us chit chat for quite a bit before I start walking again. We talk about the same thing, practically every time I visit. And that was the idea of forming a band. Silly, I know, but I've always wanted to play music and travel. I just never thought it was realistic enough to come true. Calum and Mikey think that it's not too late to take on the career, but I told them no.
We fantasize about it every now and then, maybe once in awhile we bring in songs that we've been working on too. Sometimes we would bring in our instruments and we'd play in the shop for everyone. I'd like to see it as a hobby, but Calum and Mikey think that we could live off this job.

"Ughhh." I groan, looking at the clock that read 6:30 am. I grabbed an apple and walked out locking the door. I head to the parking lot and drive to work.
Wonderful, I got five hours of sleep, time to go visit this new patient of mine. I believe the name was Caden? She's currently 20 years old, just two years younger than me. I remember glancing over her file, she is a rape victim. I also believe that she has been abused for the most part of her life, and as she got older she was raped several times.
I didn't go into too much detail on who did those cruel things to her, but I'll get the chance when I get to work. I finally reached the facility at exactly 7:00 am.
"Good morning Mr. Hemmings." the receptionist greeted very perkily. She was a beautiful young lady, but she throws herself at any man she sees. She's tried multiple times to go out with me, but I kindly declined. Now, let's take a look at that file before I head off to visit Caden. Okay, so this was all caused because of her mother? I continued reading. Oh god, that's horrible!
Her mother collected money from men to have sex with her daughter! Caden began doing this when she turned 12. At the age of 13 she got pregnant from a 'client' and gave the baby up for adoption by force. However, the doctor made an exception to keep her in touch with what happens to the baby. This was kept a secret from her mother. It says that she has recently visited her child with his new adopted family.
