travis' eyes shot open. he raised his head from the comfort of the bed, realizing that he was in a room that wasn't his own. he looked around for a moment, the walls were a dark, navy-blue with white trim that bordered the soft brown carpet. there was a closet on the left side, a door right in front of him, and a window to the right. the room was genuinely pretty clean, apart from the scattered monster and arizona tea cans that littered a desk and the nightstand. on the desk was a desktop that was neatly set up with one of those cool chairs that travis had always seen gamers have. he looked to the nightstand, it was 9:32 am. he looked around the bedroom one last time before laying his head down.
movement stirred from behind his back, a soft groan escaped the other person. travis jumped, turning his head. "good morning," the other muttered, sitting up and holding his head in between his hands. his blonde hair was messy and he looked tired.
"s-sorry," travis muttered, looking at cooper. his cheeks were flushed red, how did he end up in this mess? he only remembered entering the party, talking with ted, smoking a joint with cooper on the roof and talking at the end of the night. did something else happen?
cooper looked at him with half-lidded eyes. "why're you apologizing?" he asked, "you didn't wake me up or anything." his eyes sparkled so softly in the dim morning light. travis' heart melted. why was he so sweet? "what time is it?"
travis blanked for a moment, his head going fuzzy. he blinked himself back into reality, looking to the alarm clock. he bit back another sorry before looking at the time. "it's 9:49," he murmured. "what happened last night?"
"you got to the party, i brought you to the drinks table and we talked to ted." cooper responded, "then, after that, we went out on the roof, smoked a blunt." he paused and his eyes dilated as he remembered. his cheeks were red but he didn't really mentioned that. he opened his mouth and hesitated to speak. "we talked for a bit and you passed out when we were looking at the stars." cooper did his best to avoid talking about the kiss. "i had joko and mason help me get you off of the rooftop." he stopped. "after that i got an uber and now we're home."
travis nodded, but he felt like there was something missing. "i had fun." he said, offering a tiny smile. "it wasn't that crazy or anything." he giggling quietly, his cheeks were dusted with a soft red.
cooper swung his legs over the side of the bed and let out a soft groan, his body ached. he looked over at travis again, "yeah." he grinned. "thank you for coming." he sighed, holding his head in his hands again, his head pulsing with pain. "i think i'm hungover." he mumbled, flopping back down on the mattress, staring at the ceiling fan.
"do you want me to get you water?" he asked. travis knew this wasn't his house but he could at least give an effort to help the boy. he crossed his legs and looked at him, tilting his head lightly to the side.
cooper flipped around to look at him. "oh," he started, then he shook his head. "oh no, i'll be fine." he ran a head through his hair and sat up on the bed. there was a bit of hesitation in his voice, but eventually he asked a question. "would you ever want to come to a party with me again?"
the brown haired boy looked to the ceiling, then back down to cooper. "i wouldn't mind," he said, a crooked smile on his face. "i just don't wanna end up absolutely trashed, though." he held back a giggle, his brown eyes sparkled softly.
cooper had caught himself staring at travis, entranced in the boys presence. he shook his head and moved back to the end of his bed. "i'm gonna shower." he said, looking away for a second. "i'll be back in like ten minutes."

cooper sat with his hands on the sink counter, he looked at himself in the mirror. his hair was dripping wet and he had a towel wrapped around his waist. he let out a soft groan. "i can't believe i actually kissed him." he muttered aloud. his hands were shaking, he looked to his left hand, then to his right. "what was i even thinking?"
he was high out of his mind, and so was travis. maybe he could blame it on the high? but he wanted to feel it again. travis' soft lips against his own, his head in his hands. stop thinking about it. god he would never hear the end of this from his other friends if they ever found out. cooper exhaled sharply, taking an extra towel and scrubbing it on his hair. he stopped to look back in the mirror, he still looked like shit.
he got on his clothes, basic black pants, a white hoodie draped over a white shirt. he let out sigh, exiting the bathroom and going back to his bedroom to be greeted to travis on his bed. he was in the same position, criss-cross, on his phone. "sorry i took so long." he said, completely ignoring why he took so long in the first place.
"don't worry about it," travis chimed, a dopey smile on his face. why did he like that smile so much. travis stood up from the bed, struggling for a moment to get on his feet. he opened his mouth to speak, but his words were messy. eventually, he got a sentence out. "so about yesterday,"
"what about it-?" cooper asked, his attention immediately shifted to the boy in front of him. he could already feel himself getting sweaty. did he remember what happened? cooper really hoped not.
travis looked at the floor for a moment and then looked back at him, he couldn't think of the right things but he eventually said something after a few moments of silence. "we kissed-" he muttered ever so quietly, "didn't we?"
cooper diverted his gaze from travis, clenching his fists. he breathed in for a few seconds, held for a bit longer, then exhaled for longer. "yeah." he only said, keeping his eyes away from the other boy, but his cheeks were visibly red and he could feel his stomach twisting with butterflies. "we did."
travis stopped to think, he kept his focus on cooper. he remembered when he was in the shower, when he was recalling the high. but he liked it, he could remember himself liking it. he shut his eyes tightly for a moment, he didn't know what to say.
the blonde looked back over to him, his eyes gleamed subtly in the light that was in the bedroom. "i'm sorry." he muttered. "i shouldn't have done it." he said, scratching the back of his neck. "w-we were high as hell and i don't know why i thought it was right." tears pricked the corners of his eyes, and he brought a hand to wipe his eyes.
"it's okay," travis began, walking closer to him. his stomach was fuzzy with butterflies. "coopie, i liked it."
