cooper gently placed his hands on travis' waist. "you got it?" he asked, a tiny grin on his face. the curly haired boy was on coopers board, trying to keep his balance. "if you fall i'll be here to catch you."

travis swallowed and shakily nodded his head, "yeah-" he sputtered, allowing cooper to continue to instruct him. this was his first time on a skateboard, and gosh he was so nervous. he slowly put a foot down to push off of the ground. he said he'd catch me. he had to remind himself. travis took a breath and let cooper let go of him. his waist felt cold for a moment but he pushed from on the concrete.

cooper walked carefully beside him making sure he didn't fall. he eyed travis up and down and smiled, "see?" he said. "you got this." cooper had jinxed himself as he watched travis wobble on the board and fall over. before he fell he had gotten off the board and put his hands out in front of him to stop himself from face-planting into the concrete. but before he touched the ground cooper wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him up.

the brown haired boy gasped, "oh my gosh." he said quickly in between breaths as cooper let him go. he placed a hand on his own chest and looked back to the blonde. before he could say anything else cooper had cut him off.

"are you okay?" he asked, knitting his eyebrows. "that would've been really harsh." he looked over to his bag then back to travis. "let me get you a water- lets stop for a second." he mumbled, grabbing onto travis' hand and bringing him back to the bench. he sat travis down on the bench and started to dig through his backpack, grabbing a water bottle from an inside pocket. "here, i never opened it."

travis wrapped his hand around the bottle and looked at it for a moment. "are you sure you wont need it?" he had to double check. his face was red with a embarrassed blush, he really failed in front of cooper. "i- i don't wanna just take it."

cooper squinted at him. "yeah dude," he said, looking away for a second. "i'm giving it to you, silly." he laughed before looking back at him. "i don't mind if you have it." he folded his hands together, looking at the sky. "do you wanna keep trying?"

he shook his head, exhaling as he took a hesitant drink from the water. the chill hit him almost immediately. "i think i'm done for now." he giggled, holding a hand over his mouth. "maybe another time?"

the blonde's silver blue eyes sparkled as he looked back to him. "yeah." he said simply, a grin still on his face. "i'd be okay with that." he put his hands behind his neck and sighed. "it was fun though," he stood up, holding his hand out. "we should this again sometime."

travis grabbed cooper's hand and was pulled off the bench. the two of them were standing, cooper had travis' hand. what is this. he thought as he gripped his hand tightly, a tiny smile painted across his face. after a few seconds of the two of them standing together, hand in hand, travis opened his mouth to talk. "i like this."

"i like this too." cooper took a second to respond, but he really did like it. he liked the feeling. his hand in the others, the each of them standing still. they were quiet, staring at each other. this felt so right.

"just kiss me already." travis muttered in a playful-frustrated tone. and then cooper did, his lips on the other boys. this felt so right. they pulled apart and the two of them were both redder than they could be.

cooper cleared his throat, his palms becoming sweaty. he took his hand away from travis' and looked away. god this was so awkward, already. he wanted to feel that feeling again so bad, but he didn't know how to react once it was done. i can't believe i just did that. he thought, his face was so red.
