Congratulations Bern, Maika! Sorry, got stuck in Traffic. Then I wink to Lance.

Nah, your forgiven, but where are your dates? Maika asked.

Her boyfriend? He's out of town, I will be his dummy boyfriend for today.

Hahaha! Perfect! Then Bern makes a high five with Matt.

Celine baby, I'd been thinking about you the whole time, praying hard that your boyfriend will not come tonight, and the heavens heard my prayer. Thank God! Matt exaggeratedly reacted.

Late as usual Celine?

Sorry, I have a client meeting earlier.

She's supposed not to come here Chris, let's give her credit for that. Lance defended me.

Then I wish she didn't come anyways. His voice was soft and just whispers, but I was able to hear him. Its so early for a nasty comment from Aeon.

Where are your dates? Lance is looking around.

Well, they ditch these two. Hahaha! But since I have now Celine, I'll not be alone anymore. Matt hook his hand around my arms.

Look at the sky, isn't it pretty? Maika announced.

Not as pretty as you. Bern said affectionately while smiling at her.

Celine, don't you love sunsets? Chris is really enthusiastic today.

What I see are plain palettes of red and orange. No emotional attachments or sentiments involve. But to not offend Bern and Maika, I must say it's okay.

Yes. A plain tone can be heard from me.

But she now likes sunrise. Lance is really saving me from humiliation. Chris questions causes me to be caught on guard.

Huh? But why? Matt asked.

Either I stay late until dawn or I wake up early, people change Matt, especially if you chose to be in my field.

Really? I didn't know, lawyers can be this toxic.

Hahaha! That's why you don't choose a lawyer to be your partner, if you want to have a normal life.

Chris still has something to say, but thankfully the sunset is finally over. Bern and Maika ask their guest to get inside to start the party.

The event took place in Terranea Resort, a luxurious resort in Southern California. It has a delicately preserve rich heritage and diverse ecology with a warm ambiance and breathtaking vistas above the Pacific Ocean. They rented an ocean villa, serve with variety of foods and drinks.

Their guests consist of some of their closest friends, families and of course us, not more than 15 people to be exact, including the couple. And they wanted it to be more casual, with a few speeches and toast, the party immediately started.

As early as ten in the evening, I started to feel tired and bored and likely wanted to go home. Not socially inclined nor a drinker, I rather be at home, sleeping or watching some movies than to mingle with everyone else. Though Lance never leaves my side, I still insist him to at least blend with others, which he gladly obliged.
