CHAPTER SIX
I was looking into every single class to see if I could find him. I tried to use my “Vampire” senses, but the sound around me was too aggravating and distracting. The bell rang and I was still in so much pain.
“Julie? JULIE!” I heard Colton yell. I looked up at him with my eyes glowing red. Hoping no one saw, I shuffled through the crowded hallway to meet Colton. Help-me-now, I tried saying it in a nicer tone, but the pain was just getting worse, I could feel my body changing. He grabbed me and rushed me to the red double doors where he kept his art work. He gave me a blood bag and told me to drink it, I looked at him with a weird face, but obeyed him. I felt ten times better after I gulped it down. He gave me another glass, but it was filled with water to help with my stained teeth.
“Where's your stuff?” He asked. Still in the classroom. “Okay, we'll stop by Spanish on our way to the cafeteria.” We walked into the room and Mr. Sanchez told me he left my things under his desk, and he told me to get better soon. I kind of like that teacher, he's nice. I grabbed my bag and jacket, but noticed something was missing… MY JOURNAL! I screamed. Colton just widened his eyes and said, “Is it not there?” I shook my head. He touched my shoulder gently, I guess he could feel the tension I had, and pulled me into a hug. “We'll find it.” He whispered as if he knew it was important to me.
I faked a smile and walked out of the classroom. Jason… He took it, I bet he did. I knew he did. He was the only one that saw it. Hey Colton? "Yeah?” He replied. What do you know about Jason Ryles? He grabbed my hand and said, “You didn't speak to him did you?” I started to feel a little queasy after he said that, I stopped walking and felt anger rise within me. Colton felt what I felt and said, “Jules, don't worry, we're gonna get it back.” *Thought to self: Did he just call me Jules? He did, the only person that ever called me Jules was… My dad.*
We sat down at our table and began to talk about Jason. “Jason is a vampire. He's from a different Coven though, One you can NOT trust. Do you understand Julie?” Yes, I replied with a crooked grin. Colton smirked and said, “So what is in your journal?” I gave him a hard stare… Nothing really. He sighed and said, “Nothing? There's got to be something in there if you're so worried.” Man why did he have to do that, he's so cute when ---- Cuts self-off---- Did I just call him cute? Uhh ha, no I don't think so. Colton, there's many things in there, such as, letters, diary entrees to myself, memories, drawings, pictures, lyrics… Everything that keeps me breathing. This Journal has been with me since the day my mom was diagnosed, she gave me the journal because she thought it would help me, I became distant with many people, and one day I started writing in it, so it became my best friend. He smiled and took my hand. “Trust me Jules, we'll get it back.”

After lunch he walked me to Math just like yesterday. He told me he'd be waiting for me after class so that he could walk with me to pick up my sister.
I went into class just as the bell rang and sat down next to Violet. “Good afternoon class.” A deep voice echoed in the room. “I'm your substitute for the remainder of the day, will you please pull out your textbooks and begin working on chapter three unit one?” We all did what we were told, but never really did anything, we just talked for the whole time, that's your typical high school students for ya.

*RING RING* I hurried down the hall to my locker to resist getting trampled on. I opened my locker stuffed my books into it along with my book bag since it's Friday and turned around to face my biggest fear at the moment…
…Jason…
