CHAPTER EIGHT

  Colton's point of view:

I saw that Juliette was starting to cry so I had to hug her, from what I can see in her eyes; I see she's had a hard life, and I couldn't imagine going through what she had to. I pulled her in for a hug and it's like the most perfect feeling ever. Jules are you okay? “Yeah I'm fine,” she said. She looked at me with the most beautiful blue eyes, they were glowing so bright, they could've blinded someone. “We need to find shelter, or else we'll probably die in this weather.” Yeah Julie is right, it's going to get really cold tonight. I nodded and made my way to the street to find a place for us to stay, then I got an idea, my place, we can stay at my place. I walked down a block or two knowing she was right behind me, I took a right at the stop sign and made sure she was still there, she was. I took her hand and asked her if she was okay because I could feel her heart pumping fast and loud, I thought she was about to explode into tears.

We reached the beat up mansion at the end of Tipton Rd., and went in to see what was in there. The only things Jules and I found were clothes and furniture. “Can't this night go any slower,” I heard her murmur, although I think she was hoping I wouldn't hear it so I just kept my mouth shut. I looked over at her while she leaned against the wall next to the fire place. I walked over and put some logs into the fire place and started a fire. “Do you really think we'll get out of here?” She looks at me as her eyes turn to a light grey… I brought her close and said, of course we're gonna get out of here. I had my arms around her waist, while she had her face buried in my shirt. She looked adorable like she always does. We stood there for a few minutes until I heard something in the back of the house. Jules jumped and I ran to see what it was.

There was a big bear trying to get in, but somehow it didn't look real. I told Julie to go upstairs and lock herself in the bedroom until it was safe, so she did.

I rushed outside to try and scare the animal away by using my fangs and eyes, but it didn't budge. Then I realized… That isn't a bear, it's a hellhound. Oh dear God, I ran into the house and started locking the doors and windows, I began to salt the window seals, the floor, the chimney, everything that needed to be salted so nothing could get in. I grabbed the paint from the closet in the kitchen and began to pain symbols on the walls and the floor to keep demons out. I also grabbed three jugs of Holy Water to keep with me just in case we needed it.

I went upstairs and explained what was going on, she seemed frightened, but she understood. “How long do you think they'll stay out there?” Julie asked. Ehh probably until sunrise, they hate the sunlight. She nodded and sat down on the bed trying to process everything in her mind. I noticed she was freezing so I sat down and put my arms around her to try to warm her up a bit. Looking at her laying in my arms is just so precious, I wish I could do this all the time. She finally fell asleep so I covered her up and left her there peacefully; she looks so beautiful.
