The sun rose up, as it always must, bringing a beautiful day with warm LA weather. Trixie felt as tho the weather was almost mocking her there the sun sat high on the clear blue sky, shining so brightly.

How could it dare shine like nothing was wrong?

How dare the clouds disappear when they should be there to shield her broken heart?

Had the rain not been told that it should be pouring that morning in time with Trixie's tears?

Why was the weather so blissfully perfect when Trixie's world was turning to ruin?

Katya's things were already packed, the taxi ready and waiting to take her to the airport. Where she was going the Russian had refused to say, and Trixie had eventually agreed that it might be better that she didn't know.

It was after all easier to let go of something if you had no idea how to find it again.

As Katya placed her last bag in the trunk of the cab, the young blonde stood ready with a small gift box in her hands.
Trixie had felt bad that the Russian had been the only gift giver for the past week, plus she wanted them to not only have matching rings but matching necklaces.

"Trixie, it is beautiful." Katya said as she unwrapped the gift, lifting out the gold chain which had a tiny bright red sun in glass hanging from it, a perfect match in style to Trixie's moon necklace.

"I wanted us to match. It will be hard to manage without your sunlight brightening my days." The young girl said with a sad smile.

"Thank you, I really love it. And да, it will be difficult for me too without your moonlight chasing away the shadows of the night." The Russian replied as she put the necklace on herself.

"It looks great on you." Trixie said with a smile as she took the blue eyed girl's hands in hers.

"We are sun and moon. Never forget, детка. Even if we are far apart, we are sharing the sky." Katya said as she kissed each of Trixie's hands before pulling the younger into a tight hug.

Trixie relaxed in the warmth of the older woman's embrace, relishing in the safety she felt with the woman that would soon leave her. Savoring the feeling of being wrapped up in those strong arms.
Praying that the day might come when she'd feel the embrace once more.

What hurt the young girl most wasn't the fact that she would be left alone, but that the woman she loved would be trapped in a life she didn't want.

"I love you, so much. Please stay safe, okay?" Trixie told the girl, kissing the Russian's shoulder.

"I will try my best, кукла. I love you more than you know." Katya said as she kissed the top of the younger girl's head, desperately wanting to not let go but knowing she must.

It felt physically painful for the Russian as she pulled out of the embrace, instantly missing the warmth of Trixie's sunkissed skin.

How would she live knowing she might never look into those honey brown orbs again?

Leaving Trixie had been difficult the first time, but this time it felt unbearable. And then, a tear rolled down Katya's cheek, for the first time since her parents had dragged her back home to be married off to Dimitri.

Trixie's lips found the older woman's cheeks, kissing away every diamond tear that fell. Katya felt her heart ache in her chest at the action, knowing that this kindness was not something she'd have at all in any near future.

"We'll be okay, Katya." The girl said as she tried to soothe the Russian.

"We will never meet again, Trixie. How is that to be okay?" Katya said, her entire strong facade gone.

Trixie captured the blue eyed girl's lips in a slow kiss, looking deeply into the girl's eyes after pulling away.

"Of course we will meet again. We're sun and moon, right?" The younger girl said with a warm smile, her eyes also glassy.

"Да?" The Russian replied confused.

"So, we will meet in the sky."

Soon enough their time had run out, Katya getting into the cab after one last kiss.

"Goodbye, Katya." The brown eyed girl said warmly as her tears started escaping her once again.

"Goodbye Trixie, I will meet you in the sky." Katya said before closing the car door.

"I'll look for you every morning." Trixie whispered as she watched the taxi drive away.
