Amy had been talking to the king for a while now. She had never met anything like him before. He completely rewrote all of her expectations, always asking if she wanted to sit on his horse or have a drink. Rory was obviously very jealous, and this amused Amy a lot.
The Doctor, however, was talking to Merlin. He asked him lots of questions, all about things people didn't really care about normally. Where he grew up, what life was like, if he ever had a pet (Ealdor, alright and not exactly) but the Doctor could tell that Merlin wasn't telling him something. He could understand this though, he wasn't about to tell this young man how he was a centuries-old alien.
Rory wasn't having fun. He had tried to join in with the conversations, but whenever he came over to Amy and the King they wouldn't be very intrested in him, and the Doctor's conversation with his servant, whose name he didn't really know, hadn't really intrested him. He decided to walk up to them.
"Hello!" The Doctor shouted across at him when he saw him walking back to them "Rory, meet Merlin. Merlin, meet Rory Williams"
"You are kidding me aren't you? Merlin's an old beardy wrinkly wizard." Rory was taken aback "No offence" he added, talking to Merlin.
"No, don't mind my friend here, he's a bit...Simple minded" The doctor apologised.
"Hey" Rory whined
"Wait, do you have magic?" Merlin asked "I mean, a blue box with three people isn't just going to appear from nowhere, but that is very powerful magic. Not that I would know..."
"No" The Doctor was quick to respond. "Well, not exactly."
"It's a time machine. We're from the future" Rory blurted out before he could stop himself.
"Yes well done Rory, tell people from medieval times how time travel exists in the future." The Doctor was a bit annoyed now, Rory could tell.
"No, it's fine" Merlin chipped in. "I'm good at keeping secrets"

Merlin didn't know what it was about these people. It had been just a few minues since they had arrived in the Castle, and already the Doctor had scanned every nook and cranny of the castle. They were in the council chambers noe, and Merlin didn't know what he was looking for.
"Umm, can I help? Trust me, I know this castle better then anyone" Merlin offered
"That's his concentrating face. You don't want to disturb him" The redheaded woman, whose name was Amy, seemed to be quite bored and acted like this happened quite a lot.
"Oi! Shut up you two" The Doctor yelled at them from underneath the round table.
"Sooo, Merlin" Amy started "Have you noticed anything weird around the castle? Anything..Out of the ordinary?"
"Not really. Since the Queen has become, ill, there is nothing we can do. We've tried everything, and it just doesn't work. I-" Merlin stopped himself. He had almost revealed his secret to these people who were practically strangers. There was just something, he didn't know what, that made him think that he could trust them...
