Chapter four

Assalamu Alaykum ladies, please wake up and get ready it's time for subhi wake up and pray.  Umma said to Ummi & Bahijjat behind the locked door after knocking at the door.

      Ok Umma. answered Bahijjat in a sleepy tone...please wake up Ummi it's time for prayer she said while trying not to doze off.

Owkayyyy Ummi replied in a sleepy tone as they both stood up and performed ablution one after the other in the bathroom.

After that they went back to sleep which Bahijjat later woke up and behold it's 7:30 am on the dot in the morning, and Ummi is already up

Which surprises Bahijjat. Wow you're awake so early.

   Yes i am...and why do you look like a shocked Zombie? She said while looking for what to wear while facing her closet.

   It's because you love sleeping a lot, anyways it's seems like you're confused as always let me help you find a dress to wear. She said while heading to the closet.

Yes Please.

      Wear this gown. said Bahijjat.

No I won't wear this, it looks old fashioned. Ummi replied.

      But you bought this yourself last week when we went for shopping right?

  Yes i did but i don't even know why I bought it.

Then why did you buy it in the first place when it looks old fashioned to you, just wear it besides you are not going to meet your boyfriend, you are meeting your brother the dress looks fine to me.

      Ok I'll just wear it...oh that reminds me, please help me bring out that bag over there, my surprise gift to hamma is in there and I'm 100% sure he'll like it.

     Ok let me go get it.

     After that the two ladies were done and came downstairs for breakfast, when Affan is done eating and is about to leave.

Jam banɗuna hamma (Good morning elder brother) Bahijja & Ummi greeted Affan.

Jam Koɗume. Affan accepts their greetings, smiling at the both of them....I'm so happy to see you two by the way I have to visit a close friend.

     Haba Hamma, you just got back yesterday so please spend some time with us, besides you are the one who returned from England your friend should be the one coming to pay you a visit. Said Ummi in a saccharine tone

        I agree with her on this Hamma Affan, you don't know how she's been blabbering about you ever since you left the country for studies, by the way she even got you a gift.

What have you done Bahijjat? you talk too much, that was supposed to be a suprise but you've ruined it. Ummi said in a disappointing tone.

Sorry dear, Wallahi ( I swear by Allaah ) it's a slip of the tongue. said Bahijjat.

       Don't worry the surprise is not yet ruined because I don't know what you've planned for me.  Affan interrupted them.

     Ok then close your eyes. Ummi said in an exciting tone.

Alright dear, I've closed my eyes.

         Taadaaan! You can now open them.

       Wow this is so beautiful, he said as he sets his eyes on the wrist watch his little sister bought for him. You definitely know my taste sweetheart.

            I really do, it's one the most expensive watches in the world, I got it especially for you because I know your love for high class wrist watches. Ummi said in a very exciting tone.

     Ma Sha Allah, expensive or not I still don't care as far as it's from my sister.

  Awwwn this brother and sister bounding, may Allaah protect you all from evil eyes and harm. Bahijjat said.

  Ameen replied the two siblings

Infact I'll be wearing it out today, it looks so beautiful on my wrist.

Ma Sha Allah, what's cooking?...what are you all up to this time around Umma asked curiously.

Jamɓanduna Umma (Good morning Umma) they all greeted her at the same time.

Jam koɗume Umma replied to their greetings.

    Umma Ummi bought me a brand new watch and I'll be adding it to my favourite collection, the watch is so beautiful.

So Ummi was this the surprise you were talking of?

      Yes Umma and hamma Affan loves it alot.

     That's very good...by the way where is your father? I haven't seen him this morning Umma asked.

      Same I haven't seen him too. Ummi replied.

         Well maybe, he went for an important meeting.

As usual, old habits never die he said with a sigh...by the way I'm leaving.

  Hamma kowaɗi? (Why?)

I promise to spend some time with you when I'm back, sorry girls please just let me go.

No way, you're not leaving. Ummi replied in a serious tone.

Haba Ummi please let him go, you know it's urgent since he's insisting. Said Bahijjat.

     Ok but I'm only letting you go now because Bahijjat is here, if not for her I can assure you you won't be able to leave this house today.

Toh! Alhamdulillah (I thank Allaah) and thank you Bahijjat. said Affan laughing at his naughty sister while he headed to the door.
