Chapter two

Ya Allaah (Oh my God) look at how scattered my room is, I can't even find for my bluetooth, infact I'm the most confused teen on earth i hope hamma Affan likes my suprise gift and I have to be very fast before Umma changes her mind, this is a very special day for me because my elder brother will be coming back from London so i should be very fast, oh here it is my Bluetooth and my credit card, I have to leave now. Ummi left her room in a hurry and ran towards the staircase which she almost fell down after mumbling to herself.

   Umma I'm leaving to get the surprise for hamma Affan! shouted Ummi after waving bye at her mom.

Ok my dear "seto a warti" (Till you come back) Umma said.

Tanimu please drive me to BAU jewellery store it's the best jewellery store in town, and please be extremely fast. Ummi said.

Hajiya, Alhaji will sack me if I speed, please I'm scared of losing my job. Tanimu said to Ummi.

Ok then, please drive a little bit faster i just want to get something before my hamma flight lands, Ummi said as she hurriedly got into the car while Tanimu turned on a Hausa Fulani song called WALIJAM, Ummi seems to like the song as she didn't order Tanimu to turn it off because she's not  into Hausa music.

We've arrived Hajiya, BAU jewelleri....before Tanimu could complete his statement Ummi hurriedly left the car and got into the     jewellery store while he waited for her outside. 1 hour later Ummi was seen coming out with a packaged shopping bag.

     I'm done shopping, please be fast let's go back home before hamma Affan gets back. She said as she got into the car i haven't yet decorated the sitting room and it's my job, please Tanimu drive faster Abba won't find out if you just speed off today and even if he does I'll make sure you don't get fired. Ummi insisted.

     I'm very sorry hajiya but I can't risk losing my job, be patient we'll soon reach home it's just a 30 minutes drive.

   We already spent 30 minutes driving to the jewelry store, i spent 1 hour inside and now 30 minutes more for driving, I'm sure my Hamma will get home before me if you continue driving like this, please Tanimu drive faster, my hamma will be back in less than an hour; I'm begging you because I don't want to disappoint my brother please speed up a little bit.

       Tanimu ignored her pleas as he continued to drive at an average speed as he doesn't want to risk losing his job because Alhaji is well known in Adamawa state and Tanimu knows he'd easily be reported because the car plate is boldly written "MODIBBO" that's why he can't help it despite knowing how worried Ummi is.

      Please drive faster.

      If i were you madam I'd have rounded up everything yesterday.

        Abba just informed us last night, so how do you expect me to know?

      Don't worry we'll soon get home In Sha Allaah.

   Alhamdulillah I'm home I have to decorate the sitting room immediately and as for you Tanimu! thanks for the slow drive, expo a payback with interest, Ummi said sarcastically as she started running towards the house  I don't know why Bahijjat isn't here yet, and I specifically called her last night to inform her about everything, let me just call her again, she said as she brings out her phone from her bag and calls Bahijjat...hello Bahijjat what's your problem? why haven't you arrived yet? you know I can't do the decorations without you so please be fast I won't even listen to your explanations just be here ASAP.

      I'm very sorry dear, actually my mom asked me to help her in the kitchen, because we'll also be having visitors and all the maids are on a leave; but don't worry I won't disappoint you I'll be there In Sha Allaah.

     Ok then please be fast I don't want disappointments.

    Ok dear I will.  She said as she hangs up on the call

      I hope she doesn't disappoint me because I won't spare her if she does, anyways let me start before she arrives.

    Ummi I thought you said Bahijjat will help you with the decorations, I hope you're aware that time isn't on your side right?

Umma she....Assalamu Alaykum Bahijjat interrupted Umma and Ummi's conversation.

    Wa Alay kumus salam(peace be unto you too) answered Umma and Ummi at the same time.

     Ummi has been waiting for you dear please come and help her out.

    Ok Umma. answered Bahijjat.
    
    I thought you said you were expecting visitors when I called, actually I was in the car with my mom and we were close by, that was when she just told me she'll manage on her own and she'll just order food for them coz it'll be stress free too.

       Ok whatever let's start.

  Bahijjat and Ummi hurriedly decorated the living room immediately, when they were done they sat on the cushion to wait for hamma Affan, and Umma ordered one of the drivers to pick him up at the airport because she can't pick him up herself as she still has few things left to do.
