YUNHO.
— ### —

Wooyoung sat in the bench beside his boyfriend, avoiding any eye contact from the latter. To be honest, he is already tired of how their relationship went down after Yunho met his ex. He had been skipping their dates, not answering any calls, or just avoiding him. As if he was hesitant about something. And Wooyoung is so mad about it– especially when he knew about Yunho going to Heongso alone.

"You barely talk to me anymore." He said, "It's like you're drifting apart from me and I don't even know what I did wrong!"

Yunho's hands are trembling from both fear and cold. The January air is still chilled from winter and snow. His eyes followed where his boyfriend paced, and he can't help but to stare at him with so much worries in his eyes. What is happening to them? Why are they falling apart? He doesn't know it as well, he don't know what to answer, he don't know what is going on between them.

"Yunho, please. Tell me what's wrong between us, let me fix it. Let us fix it." Wooyoung desperately said, as his eyes no longer stare onto nothingness.

What they had over the past months was really beautiful. The nights with each other's arms, the dates with their friends on the park, calling when they have free time. All of those things they loved to do is so beautiful that Yunho can't just say anything. He is scared to leave the smaller behind while Wooyoung doesn't want it to end so easily, but Yunho hasn't been himself lately. It was like he was with someone else and not with the guy he used to be with.

"What did you said?" Yunho asked as he seem to recall some words from the latter's lips.

His head ached, and he felt dizzy. There was a voice he heard, but it was to hazy to understand. His sight blurs and he can't see Wooyoung well.

"Let us fix this, please." Wooyoung's eyes are teary from all the frustration. He held Yunho's hands tightly, not wanting to let go.

He's afraid that if he let go of Yunho's hands, the boy would run away and will never come back. It was just 4 months, but it already felt like forever. Losing him right now is too much for Wooyoung to take in. He is afraid to lose a person that understood him well on his best and worst states in life. He loves Yunho so much and he can never live without him now.

But the words from Wooyoung's lips recall something from the past. Words that Yunho thought would remain on his subconscious mind. It hits him harder than he ever thought of. Hearing it with someone special again feels so much stronger than before. Yunho should've been far from Mingi now, he should've been fine with the truth he knew. He should've just settled with the new life his parents made for him to live. But he can't, because the void in his heart still wants to be filled.

"Broken boys are harder to fix," Yunho blurts out, and he can't help but to let the tears flow down on his cheeks.

His mind immediately asked himself why he said it. Memories of the past suddenly hunts him down with the crumbs of words and broken pieces of his heart. Yunho stared at the latter, and the smaller's eyes scream nothing but pain and fear. He's leaving someone, because he wanted to know something that should've been long forgotten.

"Are you breaking up with me?" The smaller asks but Yunho cannot answer. They both remained staring at each other's eyes until Yunho smiles and nods.

"Let's fix this," Yunho said. "But as friends."

Yunho can't wait for the latter to answer, afraid that he might take back the words he said, so he turned around and left him standing there. Wooyoung cried hard and loud. His sobs are heard even on the other side of the street. What are they? Is he just a victim of a love story that hasn't yet ended?

Questions flood his mind and it was all unanswered. He went home, walking slowly with every memories he doesn't know how to forget. Wooyoung's mind is all over the place that he can't even help himself but feel weak and defeated. He sure will be avoiding Yunho for days, or weeks, and he isn't sure when to talk to him again. He can't think of anything as of the moment. He just wanted to run and never come back.

Yunho shakes his head, walking straight back home. The winter air only bring him shivers and made the tear stains on his cheeks even colder. He doesn't know if he had said things right, if he can still face the smaller with the words he unconsciously said. He was out of his mind, and Wooyoung's words even made him dig deeper onto his forgotten mind.

He was broken, and he can't be fixed. What was that mean? What is that supposed to mean?

Yunho opened the door of his room and laid lifelessly on his bed. He stares at the ceiling and his tears isn't yet done pouring. He doesn't know if his parents saw him with his puffy cheeks and bloodshot eyes. He doesn't care and he doesn't want to know. At this point, Yunho doesn't know what to do either. He wanted to know the truth but that truth would might hurt people he cares about. He is broken and he can't be fixed– but when did those things ever left his mouth?

Long enough, he knew he has already fallen asleep with his pillow drenched with tears.

"I'm a broken boy, Mingi. And broken boys never settle in one place."

"But I can fix you, right?"

"You only have one summer in your life where everything gets better."

Memories of the past. Broken pieces of his heart. If he do really love that man this much, why did his heart beat for someone else as well? If he did loved Song Mingi with all his life, then what happened to that one summer where he thought everything will turn out fine? His memories are fucked up, and it is all coming back for his life. Maybe he has something to do but he can't decide yet. The pain of leaving Wooyoung behind and the crumbs of memories from his past held him back, tellimg him that he should be thinking for the better life.

Was it good that he remembers, or was it bad that he's also hurting for all of this?

Yunho wakes up with one thing on his mind. He wants to see Mingi, and talk to him in a good way. Maybe in that way, his thoughts would rest and all his doubts will settle in one place. He needs to be calmed down, and this is the only way.
