It was definitely a packed night for the drive-in. We pulled into the large field to find a flood of parked cars facing a large tarp in the middle of the grass. We circled around the parked vehicles as we found an opening and lined ourselves up with the trees that were behind Billy's car. The sun had finally set on our drive over, resulting in a dark purple sky that was rapidly fading to midnight blue. Billy turned off the ignition and began unlocking his door.

"Come on." He beckoned as I followed and slipped out of the passenger side. "Normally I would never do this." He spoke as he neared the hood of his car. "But, tonight is the only exception. Got it?" I watched, confused as he stroked the polished blue Camaro. Without hesitation, Billy climbed atop the hood of the car. "Come on up." He extended his arm as I was hoisted up on the hood. "Use your knees, 'mkay? Don't use your feet or, help me god, we are going to have a massive problem." He instructed me as he used his knees to slide across the hood and flip around, his back resting on the windshield.

"Shoe marks on a car? Devastating." I mocked and turned myself around, sitting beside him. I watched him tussle his fingers through his hair before adjusting his back on the windshield, propping one arm up; his fingers inches from my shoulder. His gaze was intently focused on the white tarp. He studied the way the owners of Pappy's Drive-In set up the camera reel to shine on to the sheet, projecting the opening credits of Halloween. He rolled his head my direction as a smile crept up his lips.

"You know," Billy began as he not-so-subtly inched a few centimeters closer. "you can come on over here if you get scared." He patted the few feet of his Camaro that separated his body from mine. I traced Billy's hands back to his eyes and drew my face an inch closer to his own. His posture became extremely relaxed, as if he was waiting for me to make the first move. I let the moment hesitate for a few more seconds before giving a half-smile in his direction.

"I'll be just fine." I crinkled my nose and watched as Billy's posture quickly reverted that of rebellion and stiffness.

"Yeah, alright." I heard him mutter as I re-situated his jacket above my shoulders.

"It's the boogeyman! The boogeyman's outside!" Tommy from Halloween screamed, his shrieks sending echoes through the forests of Hawkins. I glanced down to see Billy's leg move a few inches towards mine as he let out a sigh and stretched out his arm; his warm fingers were like a jolt of electricity shooting down through his jacket to my shoulder. I felt my heart begin to race as he casually made his way closer to me. As the scene faded to black, Billy made his way to my left side, brushing his jacket against mine. The scent of cologne and mousse overwhelmed my nose as I tried to concentrate on the movie.

My mind dozed into thinking about the bad boy beside me. He is not like me. He is rude, arrogant and incredibly annoying. But at the same time, he's incredibly kind. He's protective. Oddly enough, we are similar in the most opposite of ways. I quietly scoffed at myself as I quickly adverted my attention back to the movie. Why the hell not. I let my demons win and lightly touched my shoe against his, watching as Billy's head suddenly jolted in my direction. I gave him a tiny wink before turning my head back to the best scene- Judith's grave. Screams were heard throughout the drive-in as I chuckled with their surprise.

A chilling breeze shot through the trees behind us and sent shivers down my entire back. I immediately shot up and flipped around to have a full view of the tree line.

"What happened?" Billy asked, concerned.

"Nothing." I spoke without emotion, my eyes fixated on the darkness. "Just got cold." I gave one last look before turning around to Billy's ecstatic facial expression.

"I can help with that." He grinned as his white teeth shined like the moon in the light of the drive-in. With one scoop, he cupped my farthest shoulder in his arms and scooped me into his chest. His arm draped over mine, resting on my hip. I immediately forgot about what could be in the forest and focused my attention on how I could hear the slow beat of Billy's heart.

"Thank you." I sighed as I tried to get my mind in order.

"Anytime." I could feel his smile through his words as Billy move his hand up to my arm and tightened his grip.

I sat a little farther up, still under Billy's arm. My heart continued to race as all I could think about was Billy Hargrove. He was toxic; a fix and I was the addict. I slowly turned my head to face his, watching as his curls individually move with the motion of his head. Billy studied my eyes, moving from one to the other before staring directly at me. The screams from the drive-in faded into the distance as I bounced my gaze between his lips and his eyes. Billy's hand crept from my arm up to my neck as he molded his fingers to my jawline.

"I knew you'd cave in." Billy's words exhaled his mouth and danced with the breeze. His smile drew wide as I made eyes with his lips once more.

"What can I say," I paused, inches from his lips. Billy's hot breath tickled my lips as we touched foreheads. "I'm a go-getter."
